Every conversation about creatine starts the same way: 'Isn't that just for bodybuilders?'

It used to be. It isn't anymore.

When estrogen drops, the brain's ability to make and use its own creatine takes a hit. That's part of why so many women describe their brain fog as 'I can't find the word.' Supplementing creatine puts substrate back into a system that's running thinner than it used to.

A few things to know if you're going to add it:

Stick with creatine monohydrate. The research is on monohydrate. The fancier-named versions don't have the same evidence behind them.

Three to five grams a day is the dose. Timing doesn't matter. Consistency does.

It is not a hormone replacement. If your symptoms are hormonal, creatine alone won't move the needle the way HRT and the right compounding can. Think of it as a tool in the toolbox, not the toolbox.

If you want help figuring out whether it fits your protocol or whether the bigger conversation is actually about hormones that's exactly what our consultations are for.

There’s a trend circulating that many have been asking us about. The combination of standard antihistamines and H2 blockers to manage seasonal or hormonal wellness challenges like flushing, skin sensitivity, or brain fog.

We understand why this has caught so much attention. While histamine can play a role in physical comfort, and many navigating these changes feel their concerns have gone unheard, this specific combination lacks robust clinical research for menopause-related support. Currently, the evidence remains largely anecdotal.

Hormonal transitions and how the brain regulates temperature are complex processes. While histamine may be a factor for some, these common medications are rarely the complete answer and can carry side effects, particularly for those with kidney or heart rhythm considerations.

The most important conversation is understanding the root cause of these shifts.
For those navigating disrupted sleep, frequent hot flashes, or a changing sense of wellness, a professional clinical evaluation is essential. Our team is here to review health history, medication risks, and appropriate lab data to guide a safe, evidence-based wellness plan.

The goal isn’t to chase a social media trend, it’s to understand what the body is communicating and choose the most effective, clinically sound path for each individual.

Come in or give us a call. We’re here to help find real answers.

Ashwagandha is everywhere right now, social feeds, wellness influencers, and every grocery store shelf. And for the most part, the conversation is accurate. It’s a traditional adaptogen with real clinical research behind it, and 300mg daily is where that research consistently lands.

The piece that’s often overlooked is the benefit of pairing ashwagandha with its clinical partner: L-theanine.

L-theanine works through a completely different pathway to support a state of calm, focused attention without the common concerns of sedation or fog. Research highlights that doses between 200 to 400mg daily provide a distinct layer of support. When taken together, they aren't just stacking the same effect—they are covering two different lanes of situational stress management.

That’s why we carry Stress Buster. Each capsule features 150mg of ashwagandha and 100mg of L-theanine, both in trusted, researched forms. A two-capsule morning routine reaches those clinically supported levels. The flexible dosing is the part of this formula that matters most because environmental stress isn't the same on Monday as it is on Thursday.

Supplements work best when they are built on a solid foundation of clinical data. For those seeking a deeper look at a daily cycle, saliva testing is an excellent resource for removing the guesswork from a wellness journey.

Stress Buster is right here at the pharmacy. Come by or give us a call—our clinical team is happy to walk through the science with you.

Magnesium is everywhere right now. And honestly, that's not the problem. The problem is the form of magnesium and your intended use case. Many people don't know this but there are many forms of magnesium that serve different purposes in the body.

One of the magnesium supplements we carry (Mighty Mag) uses two chelated forms: lysinate glycinate and di-magnesium malate. These absorb through a completely different pathway in the gut, with significantly higher bioavailability and notably less GI distress than the standard options.

Magnesium runs over 300 reactions in the body. Sleep, energy, muscle function, blood sugar regulation, bone health. If you're going to supplement it, the form matters.

We have it at the pharmacy. Come by or give us a call.
