To God we belong and to him we will all return.
As you might know by now, my dad, Dr. Fawwaz Shoukfeh has passed away. I started practicing medicine in 2017 and there hasn’t been a week that has gone by without at least one mutual patient asking about him or singing his praises. He was the hardest working person I’ve ever met, but yet he encouraged me to not over do it and spend as much time with the family as possible. Him and my mom put my siblings and I all on the right path, not just professionally but more important spiritually. I was proud to recently perform Umrah pilgrimage in Saudia Arabia on his behalf, may God accept it fully.
The last few weeks of his life he was so happy to witness a free Syria, a ceasefire in Gaza, and everyone of his kids, our spouses, and grandkids at his bedside praying for him. His last smile I witnessed was after seeing a picture of baby Raida, his little strong-willed firecracker.
May God give him the highest Heaven as an abode and use him to serve us a reminder that the ONLY thing that matters in this temporary world is your relationship with God.
