My first public announcement since becoming TCA district director is a tragic one. Dr. Shon Scott, a colleague practicing in Andrews, Tx and a member in good standing of the TCA, was killed in the floods in Kerrville last week. Our deepest condolences to his family and friends and patients. He will be missed.

Yesterday I was officially sworn in as a Board Member of the Texas Chiropractic Association. I held this position about 12 years ago. The amount of growth and development of the TCA amazes me.

At tonight’s TCA President’s Gala, Dr Helton was inducted into the Board of Directors representing TCA District 3. This is his 2nd “tour of duty” and is honored to represent the fine doctors here in west Texas.

With Chiro Texpo ’25 coming up on June 27-29 at the Hyatt Regency Frisco-Dallas, the Texas Chiropractic Association wants to acknowledge our 2024-25 TCA State Directors. As voting members of the TCA Board of Directors, they set the strategic direction for TCA at the state level, in addition to representing members in their respective districts.

Our State Directors are responsible for organizing their district’s activities, while at the same time balancing their duties as stewards of TCA’s resources. These awesome chiropractors devote countless hours each month, and they are the leaders of our profession in the Lone Star State.

TCA thanks our terrific 2024-25 State Directors for your commitment to chiropractic in Texas and your dedicated service to TCA. You rock!
