This month, Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center at the Permian Basin was on hand when the Permian Basin Behavioral Health Center celebrated its grand opening. The state-of-the-art facility, located between Odessa and Midland off Highway 191, features 200 inpatient beds. In addition to providing inpatient medical and psychiatric services, Texas Tech Physicians Psychiatry will be housed at the new site to see outpatient clients later this month.

β€œyay! 1st year of clinic!βœ”οΈπŸ€πŸ€ŸπŸΌβ€ Reagan, a student in the Audiology Program in the Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center School of Health Professions, was excited to begin her clinical experience. In the first three years of the Doctor of Audiology (Au.D.) program, students focus on academic coursework and obtain clinical experiences in the Speech and Hearing Clinic, local externship placements and facilities outside the Lubbock community.
