We extend our deepest condolences to the family, friends, Lubbock ISD, and loved ones of Coach Pep. The Athletic Training community will undoubtedly feel his absence.

It is with great sadness that we share the news that Anthony Peppers, our long-time athletic trainer and a cherished member of the Lubbock High School family, passed away this afternoon after a courageous battle with cancer.

Anthony served our students, athletes, and staff with unwavering dedication, professionalism, and heart. His impact reached far beyond the training room he was a steady presence, a trusted advocate for students, and a colleague who cared deeply about the people around him. He will be remembered for his kindness, his commitment to our campus, and the countless lives he touched throughout his career.

Our thoughts and prayers are with Coach Pep’s family, friends, and all who had the privilege of working alongside him during this difficult time. Additional information regarding ways to support the family will be shared as it becomes available.

Please take care of yourselves and one another as we grieve this loss together.
