Helping women in ministry & corporations transform their health with natural solutions via my workplace wellness trainings for better sleep, mood, hormones & energy. She has served God in ministry for over 15 years by teaching Bible classes and serving the singles ministry, single mother’s ministry, elderly, youth, community, and traveling to Central America for mission work. She quit her job at a home for abused children to dedicate 2.5 years of her life in ministry training. Managing all of the resources God puts into my possession – spiritual, physical, emotional, and financial.

📖 Delivering Wellness Training for my Alma Mater 📖

God is faithful.

I had the honor of facilitating a Wellness Training, "Better Sleep and Energy for Professionals" for my alma mater, Chicago State University - and it was phenomenal!

I am still beaming with joy from connecting with the team, the high engagement, and knowing that at the end of my training, everyone had simple, practical strategies that they were able to start that day for better sleep and energy and to support their mental and emotional wellbeing.

🎯 Two core values in my wellness consulting business:

1️⃣ Holistic wellness starts in the home and transitions to the workplace

2️⃣ When we sleep better and have more energy, we can serve our families, church, colleagues, and community better.

It has been my desire since I was a little girl to own my business.

Chicago State University helped prepare me to start and manage my business. I still use the knowledge and hands-on leadership skills I learned in the College of Business 20+ years ago.

Helping professionals implement small, actionable wellness strategies that make a big impact on their energy, focus, and overall health is why I do this work.

After a week of deadlines and computer work, your brain needs balance.

🎯 Stepping away from analytical tasks and doing something creative supports mental health, reduces stress, and restores focus.

Last week, I took a fun class at my local library and made my own tote bag—now my new Bible bag!

I meet new people in my community, and the library provided everything:

✅ Tote bag
✅ Cricut machine
✅ Librarian instructor
✅ Vinyl for the heart and lettering

The library continues to be a wonderful resource for both my personal and professional growth—a reminder that wellness and creativity often go hand in hand.

Engaging the creative part of your brain refreshes your energy and helps you return to work with clarity and joy.

💡 About: Professionals often struggle with fatigue, poor sleep quality, and low energy due to stress, wellness habits that start in the home, and workload demands. This session, Better Sleep and Energy for HR Professionals, equips participants with practical, natural strategies to improve sleep, restore energy, and build lifestyle habits that directly impact performance and well-being.

Specific learning objectives:

1. Identify the impact of sleep and energy on focus, productivity, and stress management.
2. Assess personal habits, routines & behaviors that contribute to non-restorative sleep and fatigue.
3. Implement actionable strategies to enhance well-being and maintain consistent energy throughout the workday.

📚 Re-certification Credits Available 📚

This session qualifies for 1-hour general HRCI and 1 SHRM Professional Development Credit (PDC). Details will be provided after the meeting.

Anyone can attend in place of an active BNHRC member. Guests are also welcomed to attend. The guest fee is $15 and must be paid by the registration deadline. Potential new members and first-time guests can attend their first BNHRC event for free!

I am not sure if these are geese or ducks 😊, but each year I used to wait for them to migrate to the South when I lived in Texas. Now that I am back in the Midwest, I miss that special season.

Seeing them always reminded me of God's power in all situations and to slow down.

My wellness journey started over 20 years ago.
+
It was not until I was in my 20s when a woman I knew was diagnosed with a serious health issue that I realized the everyday choices I was making - what I ate, what I put on my body (lotion, deodorant, soap, cleaning products, etc.) were negatively impacting my health.
+
Slowly, I began to read food and product labels, eat more whole foods, replaced chemical products with natural alternatives, and became intentional about being a good steward of my health.

Over time, those small daily habits became my lifestyle and have transformed how I feel.

I feel better.
