Maintaining good oral hygiene is key to your overall health. Brush and floss your teeth at least twice a day to remove plaque and protect your enamel. Using fluoride toothpaste and flossing between teeth helps prevent cavities, which are common among adults. Limit sugary and acidic foods, as they can erode enamel and create an environment for decay. Choose healthier snacks like fruits, vegetables, and dairy products, which can help strengthen your teeth and neutralize acids. Regular visits to your dental office are essential for early detection and prevention of problems. Professional check-ups and cleanings ensure your teeth stay healthy and strong. Make oral hygiene a priority this year for a lifetime of healthy smiles. For more tips and advice, visit our website today.

Dental problems can increase your stress, causing teeth grinding, headaches, and jaw pain. Regular dental visits help relieve these issues before they get worse. Keeping your teeth and gums healthy also supports your heart. Gum disease can raise the risk of heart problems by allowing bacteria to enter your bloodstream. Maintaining good oral health is essential for a healthy lifestyle, yet many people overlook the signs that they need to see a dental office. If you have persistent tooth pain, it could mean a cavity or a more serious issue, and early treatment makes a big difference. Bleeding gums when brushing or flossing may be a sign of gum disease, which can lead to serious problems if not checked right away. Sensitivity to hot or cold foods and drinks might point to enamel erosion or receding gums, which exposes nerves and causes discomfort. Dental sealants are a thin, protective coating applied to the chewing surfaces of the teeth, particularly the molars, to prevent cavities.🦷

The process of applying a sealant is quick, painless, and non-invasive, often taking just a few minutes.⏰ Sealants can last for several years but should be monitored during regular dental check-ups to ensure they remain intact and functional. Give us a call at (806) 797-0341 if you are interested or have any questions concerning dental sealants!

Tooth decay progresses from demineralization, where acids from plaque erode enamel, leading to enamel decay and the formation of a cavity. If untreated, decay reaches the dentin, causing sensitivity and requiring fillings or crowns.

In the final, advanced decay stages, the decay invades the pulp, leading to severe pain, infection, and potentially an abscess or tooth loss, necessitating root canals or extraction.🦷Protect your smile from tooth decay by practicing good oral hygiene and seeing your dentist at least twice a year!
