Tonight was one of those nights I will remember for a long time. After the baby went to bed, we all relaxed in the living room (minus 18yo, he wasn't home, 😔) no TV, no phones. Started out with me texting my 16yo to come down stairs.
16yo: (eyes rolling and tone of an annoyed teenager who had better things to do.) "What are we doing? "
13yo: (mischievous grin, said with a snicker) "We're playing one of those games you play when your mom is a counselor."
Hubby: (mix of a sarcastic and yet, begrudgingly supporting his wife tone) "we're all participating, sit down. "
Me: (enthusiastic, let's rally the troops tone) "Alright we each get two questions to ask, Everyone has to answer." 1st question, what would you change in your life if you could? 2nd, name something you're grateful for? You can't repeat anyone else's answer. Okay, I'll go first! 1st answer: enough money that we wouldn't have to stress over bills, and could take as many vacations as we wanted. 2nd answer: I'm grateful I get to be a wife and a mom." My favorite question of Brandon: "If you could pick any place in the world to live what would it be like?" My favorite Josh question: If you had a You Tube channel or could be a famous You Tuber, what or who would it be?
Needless to say, this was a great night! Lots of laughs, creativity, and most important connection. I love having teenagers! What question would you ask?
