We’re excited to introduce Zafira Merchant, a dedicated Family Nurse Practitioner who brings warmth, expertise, and compassion to every patient she meets.

Zafira completed her BSN at Baylor University and earned her Doctorate of Nursing Practice locally at Texas Tech Health Sciences Center. She joined our practice in February of this year.

As a primary care provider, she enjoys building partnerships with her patients—creating care plans that not only promote optimal health but also respect each individual’s comfort, preferences, and input.

With her strong nursing background and keen attention to detail, Zafira empowers patients through education and guidance. She has a special passion for women’s health and believes in giving women the tools and knowledge they need to understand and care for their bodies.

Dr. Hannel has been practicing medicine for over 30 years. He completed his undergraduate studies at David Lipscomb University, and in 1996, he earned his medical degree from the University of Nebraska.
