Okay folks, we have a VERY special birthday shoutout and we need your help in thanking Julian! For a second year in a row, this sweet boy used his birthday as a way to collect donations for the Children's Advocacy Center. In lieu of gifts, they asked for water, stuffed animals, and blankets to help fill the CAC's Lovey Room. These items help bring a little comfort and warmth to the children who come to the CAC - often on one of the worst days of their lives.

It's April 1st, and that means we're kicking off the 15th annual Go Blue Lubbock Campaign for National Child Abuse Awareness Month. From 2015 to 2025, over 10,000 Lubbock County children have been confirmed by investigations as victims of abuse and neglect - that's just in LUBBOCK COUNTY.

We hope that you'll join our Children's Advocacy Center crew and wear blue this month to help us raise awareness on child abuse. Be an advocate. Be a voice. Be a champion for our children. Are you ready to join the fight? The Children's Advocacy Center is hosting our annual Stand Up for Kids golf tournament during Child Abuse Awareness Month on April 24.

The fight is real and we need YOUR help! Last year alone, the CAC provided lifechanging services to 1,057 children and non-offending caregivers. These services help speed up the healing process for children who are victims of physical and sexual abuse, neglect, and trauma. YOU can join the fight and Stand Up for Kids by becoming a sponsor! Life-changing and life-saving services – that’s what our Children’s Advocacy Center can accomplish when we have incredible community partners like H-E-B! We are so grateful for their generosity and their $10,000 donation that will support our on-site therapy center, now re-named The H-E-B Therapy Center. This donation ensures we can continue providing life-changing therapy services to thousands of children and families across the South Plains who have been victims of abuse, neglect, and trauma.

“We have a commitment to all families in Texas, and we want to make sure we are serving Texans the best way that we can. The Children’s Advocacy Center provides so much hope and so much healing to families that are going through some of the worst times,” said Jessicka Gonzales, H-E-B Public Affairs Manager. “We want to make sure we’re able to give them the support that they need, and the funds that they need to give them a better future.”
