Join us tomorrow morning as we honor a local hero. 9:00 am and 10:00 am we will be remembering Bartlett. Lubbock County Sheriff’s Office Assistant SWAT Commander, Sgt. Josh “Soap” Bartlett, 38, was shot and killed in the line of duty on July 15th, 2021, during a SWAT callout for a barricaded subject. Sgt. Bartlett was a 9 year veteran of the Lubbock County Sheriff’s Office and the SWAT team. Prior to starting his law enforcement career, he served two tours in Iraq as an Army Infantryman with the 10th Mountain Division where he received a purple heart among many other awards. Sgt Bartlett is survived by his wife Rebecca, oldest son Zachary, his wife Logan Kasidy, their sons Atticus and Baron, sons Christian, Logan and David, parents Mike and Freda Bartlett and brother Jeremy.
