Meet UMC Miracle Kid, Finn! Finn was diagnosed in 2025 with Burkitt’s Lymphoma, but that never stopped him from being himself! From the moment he arrived, he won hearts all around the unit.

Our nursing staff quickly fell in love with Finn. His smile, his bravery, and his big personality made even tough days a little brighter. He is a reminder to us every day why we do what we do. He’s strong, he’s special, and he’s a true Miracle Kid. We’re so proud to be part of his journey! 💛

Today our friend Kamilla rang the bell, marking the end of her cancer treatment! After being diagnosed in August 2023 with Acute Lymphocytic Leukemia, she’s reached this amazing milestone and we couldn’t be happier for her and her family! 💛

This Christmas, our NICU received a special visitor all the way from the North Pole! Santa took time out of his busy schedule to bring warmth and cheer to our littlest patients and their families that are spending the holidays in the NICU 💛

We are incredibly grateful to the TeamCrista Foundation, Inc. for their AMAZING generosity and continued support of our pediatric oncology patients and families! This year, they donated $1,600 in gift cards, $2,200 in monetary gifts for children currently in treatment, and a delivery of toys and gifts that bring comfort and encouragement to our patients! 💛

Special thanks to Brownlee Racing Factory Trackside Support and FEAR Arenacross for hosting the 2025 Teddy Bear Roundup!

Thanks to generous supporters from Graham, Plainview, Hobbs, and many surrounding communities, 324 teddy bears were collected for our pediatric patients! These bears will bring comfort and smiles to children during their hospital stay. Thank you! 💛

Meet Dr. Nancy Beck, a board-certified Pediatric Endocrinologist at UMC Children’s Hospital who helps our little patients grow strong and healthy!

Dr. Beck specializes in caring for children with hormone-related conditions that affect growth, puberty, thyroid function, and diabetes. With expertise and compassion, she helps kids and their families manage these complex conditions so every child can reach their full potential. From balancing hormones to supporting healthy development, Dr. Beck is dedicated to helping young patients feel their best every step of the way! 💛

Meet 2025 Miracle Kid, Kysen! 💛

Born prematurely with underdeveloped lungs, Kysen spent 95 days in the NICU fighting for every breath. He was intubated, placed on multiple respiratory machines, and received two rounds of steroids to help his tiny lungs grow. With the dedicated care of the NICU team, Kysen grew stronger each day, eventually going home on oxygen and a feeding tube, and by 11 months, he no longer needed the tube at all.

Today, he’s thriving and full of smiles, a powerful reminder that miracles happen every day. We’re proud to celebrate Kysen as a 2025 Miracle Kid! 💛

We had a wonderful time at the UMC Cancer Center’s annual Christmas party for our pediatric cancer patients! Each family was able to select multiple Christmas toys generously donated by our community. The joy on the kids’ faces was the most heartwarming gift of all!
