🏆💗 Calling All Sports Teams, Clubs, and Organizations! 💗🏆

As part of the Pink Pumpkin Run, your group has the chance to win advertising dollars from George Regional Health System:
🥇 1st Place – $700
🥈 2nd Place – $500
🥉 3rd Place – $300

👉 Here’s why we do this:
We’re blessed to have a large employee family, and many of our employees and their kids are involved in sports teams, civic clubs, churches, and other organizations. Because so many requests come in throughout the year, it wouldn’t be possible to contribute fairly to each individual team or player.

That’s why we created this fun and fair way to give back — by registering as a group, your organization not only shows team spirit, but also has the opportunity to earn valuable support dollars from our hospital.

🎓 Students — take note! If you are interested in applying for one of our Foundation scholarships, participating in the Pink Pumpkin Run (or volunteering at the event) is a great way to meet the requirement of being involved in a hospital or Foundation event.

➡️ How it works:
When registering or someone you know registers, simply sign up under your team, club, or organization’s name. The groups with the most participants win the prize money!

Together, we can support the community that supports us — all while raising funds for the Pink Ribbon Fund, which helps provide breast cancer testing and care for patients right here at home. 🎀

🎉 Celebrating 22 Years of Service – Happy Retirement, Mrs. Ann Campbell! 🎉

This week we celebrated the retirement of Mrs. Ann Campbell, who has been a shining light at George Regional Health System for the past 22 years.

Ann worked in Outpatient Registration, where she greeted every patient, family member, and visitor with the warmest smile and the kindest heart. She truly set the standard for what it means to provide compassionate, front-line care. Simply put—she was the best at what she did, and she will be dearly missed! 💙

So many of her coworkers came out to her retirement party to wish her well, a testament to the impact she’s had on all of us. While it will be hard to replace her, we are excited for this next chapter in her life.

Thank you, Ann, for your dedication, your joy, and your 22 years of service to our community. We wish you all the happiness in your well-deserved retirement! 🌷

🌟 Supporting the Future of Rural Healthcare! 🌟

George Regional Health System was honored to sponsor the dinner for the Rural Scholars Scholarship Ceremony in Jackson, MS, where our CEO, Greg Havard, had the opportunity to speak to this incredible group of future rural physicians.

This event was more than a celebration—it was a chance to connect with students who are passionate about making a difference in underserved communities. We’re proud to support programs that invest in tomorrow’s healthcare leaders and bring attention to the vital role of rural medicine.

🌟 Welcoming Future Healthcare Leaders! 🌟

This summer, George Regional Health System had the pleasure of hosting a Rural Scholar student, Jeff Ellison through our Summer Explosion program!

As part of this immersive experience, he spent time shadowing across multiple departments—gaining hands-on exposure, learning from our dedicated staff, and seeing firsthand what it means to serve a rural community with compassion and excellence.

Programs like Summer Explosion are an important part of our commitment to growing the next generation of healthcare professionals—right here at home.

Thank you to our teams for welcoming him, and a big shoutout to our scholar for his enthusiasm and passion for medicine! 💙
