Today we wrapped up Hospital Week with Decades Day! 🕺🎉

As GRHS celebrates 75 years of caring for our community, today was the perfect chance for employees across the health system to dress from their favorite decades and celebrate the generations of care, memories, and history that have shaped GRHS through the years. 💙👏

We also saved our biggest royal recognition for the final day of Hospital Week by honoring our official Queen of GRHS — Kim Thomasson for an incredible 44 years of service to GRHS! Thank you, Kim, for over four decades of dedication, compassion, and care to our patients, employees, and community. 👑

Lucedale employees also enjoyed delicious Coke Floats sponsored by Enhabit, the perfect classic treat to go along with our throwback decades theme! Thank you to Enhabit for helping make our final day of Hospital Week extra special.🥤

Greene County enjoyed their last day with a Shrimp Boil and Wheelchair race!

From the 50s to today, one thing has remained the same, the incredible employees who make GRHS what it is. Thank you all for helping us celebrate 75 years of caring for our community! 🎉

Dream Vacation / Tacky Tourist Day across GRHS yesterday! 🌴

Employees showed us where they wanted to go while enjoying another fun day of Hospital Week!

A huge thank you to Arden for sponsoring “The Coffee Cart” for our employees! The Coffee Cart stopped by both our Lucedale and Wiggins locations, and employees loved getting to enjoy specialty coffees and drinks throughout the day.

👑 We also honored two more of our incredible “Royal Employees” for their years of dedication and service to GRHS:

Beth Cochran – 32 years
Dr. Seth Scott – 32 years
Regina Levins – 33 years
Deanna Reynolds – 33 years

Thank you both for the impact you’ve made throughout the years and for continuing to be part of the GRHS legacy! 💙

Please help us welcome our newest Nurse Practitioner, Erin Couey. We are thrilled she has returned and joined our team in this new role.

I am Erin Couey, and I’m excited to rejoin Wiggins Primary Care as a Nurse Practitioner. I previously worked at WPC for five years as an LPN before becoming an RN in 2014, so it truly feels like coming back home.

As a lifelong resident of Stone County, I am honored to serve this community and help meet the healthcare needs of local families. My husband and I have been married for 25 years and live in Perkinston. We have two children — our son was recently married in November, and our daughter will be getting married this summer.

My specialty is family practice, and much of my nursing background has been focused in critical care. My goal is to provide personalized, compassionate care that helps patients achieve their best possible health and wellness.

Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my family, going to the beach, being involved in church, and loving on our two Goldendoodles.

I truly believe God called me to this profession, and I look forward to caring for you and your family’s healthcare needs.

Day 2 of Hospital Week “Employee Appreciation Week” was one for the books!

Yesterday, we celebrated our healthcare heroes with our BIG BBQ Lunch in Lucedale. Employees enjoyed an amazing lunch from Boondocks BBQ while showing off their superhero spirit across the health system. Because at GRHS, our everyday superheroes don’t wear capes… they wear scrubs. 👏

🏁 We also hosted our first-ever wheelchair race, and the competition got serious! Congratulations to Forrest Gump & Lieutenant Dan (Surgery Department) for racing their way to victory and taking home the “Rolling Through 75 Years Race” Piston Cup!🏆

We also continued recognizing our “Royal Employees,” team members who have dedicated decades of service to GRHS and helped shape the legacy of care we celebrate today. Yesterday, we honored Carmen Walley for 34 years of service and Jennifer Galle for 31 years of service. Thank you for the compassion, commitment, and impact you’ve made throughout the years!

We were also proud to send off and support the GC Softball girls to state!

Thank you to all of our employees for the energy, teamwork, laughter, and care you bring every single day. We are proud to celebrate YOU during Employee Appreciation Week and as we continue celebrating 75 years of caring for our community. 💙🎉
