It’s easy to get caught up in the go-go-go of spring season - bodywork sessions, barn life, 4-H, shows… and somewhere in the middle of all that, I realized I hadn’t posted here in a while. Oops. 😅 (seriously how is it almost June)

But here’s a little reminder of why I do what I do. This moment right here. Me, a horse, and that quiet connection that says “thank you, I feel better now.”

Behind every massage is a horse learning to move more freely and a human (hi, it’s me 💁🏻‍♀️) who’s pretty passionate about helping them get there.

Appreciate all of you who stick around, even when I go a little quiet on here. 😊

I seeeeee the sun!!!! ☀️☀️☀️ Ohio tested me this winter and I’m pretty darn hardy. I started to forget how much more pliable and workable muscles are when those temperatures start to rise. Horses will naturally start to move more with the sun and winter stiffness should start to ease!

Now’s the perfect time to support that transition with bodywork that encourages healthy movement patterns, eases lingering tightness, and sets them up for a strong season ahead 💪🏻

Tape is so satisfying 💅🏼 Some shots from my time at Hickory Lake Equestrian Farm with KB Equestrian LLC! I smile a lot when I’m here, and that means a lot 🐴💜

This barn has also allowed for some exponential growth in my craft over the last 2 1/2 years and for that I am grateful ⭐️

Sometimes I’ll interrupt nap time for some good head relief - they never argue 💤🧠 Can you guess how much a horse head weighs? Go ahead, think of a number…..🥁……

40 to 60 pounds on average! Now, how many muscles do they use to move and support their head and neck movement/posture? Over 20!

The head and neck of a horse play a CRUCIAL role to its posture, balance and overall movement. The way a horse carries its head & neck directly affects its back, shoulders and hindquarters. Are you paying attention to your horses posture?

‼️Reminder: In cold weather, muscles can become tighter and less elastic like due to reduced blood flow and slower metabolic processes - which is why it’s ESSENTIAL to properly warm-up your horse before riding or working them. Get some circulation flowing before going too hard! Your horse will thank you 💜

And don’t forget to properly cool down, as well -
They need more than a lap 😉

🥶🥶🥶Is the only way to describe 2025 thus far! I have reached out to some to reschedule due to temperatures in teens. Massage can get a little tricky when it’s that cold. It depends on the barn space, as well. We will make it through 😁 Also, how cute is Moose?!

He knows when I’m in the pasture he can bum a treat off of me or at the least get a solid butt scratchin, either way, he knows it’s a win - and I get to snap a picture in the 3 seconds he’s not trying to sit in my lap.

⭐️ You only need one word to describe Star: Goofy! If there’s a horse you can count on for a smile, it’s definitely this one. I love a good personality. Don’t be fooled, though - he’s all business in the arena 😉 He cleaned up in the ranch pen last weekend, so, a massage, bemer and a back taping to keep him feeling fresh!
