I ran my wellness practice in Tulsa Oklahoma for 8 years until Covid turned the world upside down and all the gyms shut down. I was still able to do diets and meal plans for clients but when the gyms had been closed for a year I decided to relocate to Ludington. I didn’t think Ludington had the population for me to start training here so I moved on and let the beautiful nature heal my heart from the upheaval of losing the career I loved and planned to do for the rest of my life. Their is not much greater of a feeling than helping someone regain control over their wellness (our bodies are one so physical health usually effects mental health). I recently started training a friend and his wife and it reminded me how rewarding it is to help people take back control of their body and mind. I don’t plan on doing this full time but being in the gym i am often stunned at what “personal trainers” have their clients doing (i want to say it’s often not their fault as a pt certificate is a joke and doesnt teach you much). Everyone’s body is different and reacts to things differently (a great example is intermittent fasting, in my experience it is great for males in spurts but does not seem to be as effective for females). I have a lifetime of experience training and was a wellness coach (including personal training, diet, meal plans, injury rehabilitation, and massage recovery) and I recently helped a friend and his wife as a favor and it made me remember how rewarding it is to help people get their lives back in a sense. My goal is always to impart the knowledge I have gleaned through a life of training to my clients so they can have a better quality of life and imparting that knowledge means they won’t need me after I teach them (although I’m always a phone call away). You only have one body and one life on this earth so in my humble opinion there is no greater investment you can make than one that will improve both your physical & mental health (our bodies are one unit tied together in the most complex ways so in my experience when people improve their physical health it almost always improves their mental health as well. In today’s world it is harder and harder to stay healthy with the poison they put in most foods and our cultural climate has fallen off of a cliff so it’s hard on mental health as well. It is so rewarding to see people take their lives back and everyone’s body is different so you really need something tailored specifically to you. I provide everything from personal coaching in the gym to diet and meal plans to injury rehabilitation and recovery as well as most peoples favorite massage recovery. I’ve worked with all ages and sexes and no two plans are ever the same as everyone is unique and we have to fine out what your body responds to and how. It’s one of the most important challenges you will ever face but when we solve the puzzle together I can assure you it is quite freeing and rewarding to have your health and wellness back. In my humble opinion it is one of, if not the most important investment you can make not only for yourself but those you love and love you. I don’t accept everyone I talk to as a client as I’m doing this part time and want to work with people who really want to change their lives and although it is hard work, I can assure you it is the best gift you can give/recieve.
