I provide training, diet, meal plans, injury rehabilitation, and most peoples favorite, massage recovery. I’m interested in providing dramatic lifestyle changes for those people who have tried and failed with other diet and exercise plans or simply want to better there lives by gaining the knowledge they need to understand and change their lifestyle via diet and exercise forever.

I ran my wellness practice in Tulsa Oklahoma for 8 years until Covid turned the world upside down and all the gyms shut down. I was still able to do diets and meal plans for clients but when the gyms had been closed for a year I decided to relocate to Ludington. I didn’t think Ludington had the population for me to start training here so I moved on and let the beautiful nature heal my heart from the upheaval of losing the career I loved and planned to do for the rest of my life. Their is not much greater of a feeling than helping someone regain control over their wellness (our bodies are one so physical health usually effects mental health). I recently started training a friend and his wife and it reminded me how rewarding it is to help people take back control of their body and mind. I don’t plan on doing this full time but being in the gym i am often stunned at what “personal trainers” have their clients doing (i want to say it’s often not their fault as a pt certificate is a joke and doesnt teach you much). Everyone’s body is different and reacts to things differently (a great example is intermittent fasting, in my experience it is great for males in spurts but does not seem to be as effective for females). I have a lifetime of experience training and was a wellness coach (including personal training, diet, meal plans, injury rehabilitation, and massage recovery) and I recently helped a friend and his wife as a favor and it made me remember how rewarding it is to help people get their lives back in a sense. My goal is always to impart the knowledge I have gleaned through a life of training to my clients so they can have a better quality of life and imparting that knowledge means they won’t need me after I teach them (although I’m always a phone call away). You only have one body and one life on this earth so in my humble opinion there is no greater investment you can make than one that will improve both your physical & mental health (our bodies are one unit tied together in the most complex ways so in my experience when people improve their physical health it almost always improves their mental health as well. In today’s world it is harder and harder to stay healthy with the poison they put in most foods and our cultural climate has fallen off of a cliff so it’s hard on mental health as well. It is so rewarding to see people take their lives back and everyone’s body is different so you really need something tailored specifically to you. I provide everything from personal coaching in the gym to diet and meal plans to injury rehabilitation and recovery as well as most peoples favorite massage recovery. I’ve worked with all ages and sexes and no two plans are ever the same as everyone is unique and we have to fine out what your body responds to and how. It’s one of the most important challenges you will ever face but when we solve the puzzle together I can assure you it is quite freeing and rewarding to have your health and wellness back. In my humble opinion it is one of, if not the most important investment you can make not only for yourself but those you love and love you. I don’t accept everyone I talk to as a client as I’m doing this part time and want to work with people who really want to change their lives and although it is hard work, I can assure you it is the best gift you can give/recieve. I’m an era of division, a million things vying for your attention and energy I find the most important thing I can do for my mental health is to stay disciplined I’m the gym and with my diet, and spend as much time in nature as I possibly can. Looking good is great but the benefits of a disciplined body and mind extend to all areas of life ❤️

I have been getting quite a bit of questions asking if I only accept trainers, bodybuilders, people who compete in shows and while I do accept those clients if it is a good fit(it usually is just for corrective therapy because 99% of us where never taught to lift correctly) but the passion behind this project is a dramatic change in anyone’s life, no matter where you are in your journey. I weighed 144lbs when I started taking this seriously and beyond feeling great physically I will never stop because the benefits to my mind have been amazing. A lot of people want to drink lemon juice and Cheyenne pepper for a week straight(just one crazy example) but your body is only burning fat because it’s feeding g on itself and that means muscle as well. Quite a few of my clients have spent money on “personal training” with little to no results, but Everyone’s body is completely unique which is why I incorporate so much more into our program. Many people have simply given up because the results they are seeing are minimal and not worth their time, effort, and money. At apex we give you the tools and knowledge to understand your body and what works for you(including diet, supplementation, new training regimens, yoga, corrective therapy, physical therapy and so on). Before you loose hope try approaching things our way and you will be amazed at what you can do!!

Eggs, turkey bacon(25 calories per slice) & strawberries for breakfast, can’t beat it. Follow breakfast up with a protein shake & fruit smoothie...yummy. I also did some fasted cardio followed by the sauna to achieve some heat shock proteins. My sister Rachel Zimmerman who is a phenomenal physical therapist(Texas woman’s university then on to the Baylor medical center to practice for a few years before she ran a little clinic in Haiti to help people recover that wouldn’t be able to receive medical or pt care(she’s back now thankfully). The point being she knows her trade very well, she had seen and healed more horrible things than you can imagine so I know we can help anyone interested , Teresa is the massage therapist we recommend and she is simply the best, always furthering her education and knowledge just like we do here at apex. Again if you want to pay a thousand dollars for a kid to hold a stop watch over you and count your reps then this isn’t for you. I am officially taking clients, this isn’t a casual experience we are offering. I will correct and teach proper form/technique and give you the knowledge to continue to transform yourself after we are done with our sessions. This is a full immersive experience that can include diet, supplementation, routines, and corrective therapy. I also have a massage therapist we use and a physical therapist if necessary. I am happy to meet for no charge and see if we are a good fit for each other. A long journey from my high school days at 5’4” 140lbs. I’ll also be completely honest, I did not treat my body very lovingly in the slightest, I was the perfect little “bro”.....big heavy weight, bad form, occasionally letting everyone know where I was with a last rep bellow. FORTUNATELY, someone upstairs was looking out because I have people in my life looking out for me, big shout-out to my sister Rachel Zimmerman who spent 7 years killing it getting her physical therapy degree and keeping me honest when we would train and is always keeping me up on the latest science and routines. She is a master at rotating workout routines and philosophies, keeping the body guessing and never allowing the body to become too comfortable/stagnant. We both have our specialties and that is why you can achieve the goals developed in whatever we decide and feel is best for you. Anyone can still find ways to grow just staying active but the idea behind this collaboration is transformation, a complete change in the way you look but also the way you understand your body and what we need to correct to get you the real results you want. There are truly amazing things you can to your body if you take the time to correct your bodies imbalances and train the secondary or ancillary muscles that we were never taught to train or understand how important everything in your body is and how it flows together.....synergy brings great strength.
