Temporary Quarters for Emergency Services Personnel
Ludlow Ambulance provides 24/7/365 coverage to our community and neighboring towns — that level of service depends on having personnel ready to respond within minutes.
Ambulance personnel work 12–24+ hour shifts. Our existing room(s) to accomodate staff in between calls is too small and no longer meets safety expectations. Recognizing the urgency of the situation, the Selectboard approved this capital purchase (to be located at the Fire Station), while long-term planning continues for future facilities.
Thanks to the coordinated efforts of Ludlow Highway, Water/Sewer, Ludlow Electric, and local contractors, the site was prepped and the unit has been delivered. Utility connections are underway' and we expect a fully operational facility by mid-May.
