Paula Jo Weaver,73, of Bromley, lovingly known to all as PJ, passed away on Thursday, January 1, 2026, at St. Elizabeth Hospice, surrounded by her loving family. Born on January 14, 1952, in Cincinnati, Ohio, she lived a life full of passion, compassion, and creativity, touching the hearts of everyone she met.

PJ dedicated herself to her family and her work, serving as a cafeteria worker with Bromley Elementary and the Kenton County School District, where her warm smile and kind spirit greeted countless children each day. She had a boundless love for her family, being a devoted sports mom who filled her children’s lives with laughter and support. Her commitment to nurturing them extended far beyond the field.

Virginia "Ginny" Bernales, 91, of Lakeside Park, KY, a devoted and beloved member of her family and community, passed away peacefully on January 1, 2026, at her daughter's residence in Edgewood, Kentucky. She was born on March 5, 1934 in Manila, Philippines as a US citizen to Jesse and Agustina Light, and emigrated to the US in 1956. Ginny lived a life filled with warmth, faith, and dedication. Words cannot begin to describe her pure and loving heart. She was affectionately called "Honey" by her grandchildren and many others. Ginny retired as a secretary at the Fernald Nuclear Plant, where she made lasting connections and contributed meaningfully to her workplace for many years. Her professional life was only a small part of a rich tapestry woven with devotion and service. A devout Catholic, she was particularly devoted to Mary and was well known for hosting prayer meetings followed by special lunches, creating intimate gatherings cherished by all.

Dale was an exceptional athlete and played varsity football, baseball, and basketball for Ludlow High School. His talents caught the attention of the legendary college football coach Paul “Bear” Bryant who recruited Dale to play for the University of Kentucky Wildcats. In addition to playing football for UK, he was also a starting pitcher for UK Baseball.

Born in Logansport, Indiana, on October 13, 1959, and raised in Chandler, Arizona, Steve attended Brown University to play football. It was there that he met his future wife, Donna Conaton.
