Last weekend we went to New Orleans for cooking school. So much fun. And it’s always fun going back to a city I love so much. While there, we took full advantage of all the food & beverages. While in New Orleans, you’d be crazy not to! But 2 days ago I jumped back on my health & wellness plan & after 2 days I’m down 4.2 #. So thankful for our program! I’ll update on day 9 when I weigh again.

Is it ok if I’m just honest a minute?

As 2023 started, I was fully committed & well on my journey to better health. I was down 54 # & countless inches. Cleaned all the bigger clothes out of my closet & was loving the progress I had made. Then life happened. I lost my focus & didn’t prioritize my why. I’m re-committing to my journey & the why’s in my life. Cheers to the journey ahead!

This animal right here is the reason we haven’t had a Christmas tree up the last 3 or 4 years. I realized tonight his name should’ve been Mayhem. Cecil brought a tree in the house (probably because he was tired of me griping about no tree) & put it up just to see what would happen. So far “Mayhem” hasn’t brought the tree down, only chewed on it. Tonight I put 9 ornaments on the tree. Total experiment. We collect ornaments when we travel & have received lots of special ones as gifts. Love seeing them every year & reliving the memories. But don’t want to sacrifice any.

My question is this—anyone with a similar situation have any tips for keeping the cat from destroying it all?

(Just FYI—
Baby gate won’t deter him & he likes water, so spraying him won’t either)
