The Angelina County Heart Alliance was proud to award the Heartbeat to Healing Scholarship to Diego Martinez, a graduating senior from Hudson High School.

Diego will be attending The University of Texas at Austin where he plans to major in Health & Society as he pursues a future in healthcare.

This year, the Angelina County Heart Alliance will award a scholarship to one graduating senior from every high school across Angelina County who plans to enter the healthcare field. Supporting these students is an investment in the future health and well-being of our communities.

The Angelina County Heart Alliance is honored to donate an Automated External Defibrillator (AED) to the Christian Information & Service Center(CISC), an organization that makes a meaningful difference in the lives of so many in Angelina County.

In 2025, Christian Information & Service Center (CISC) made a significant impact in Angelina County by providing 78,911 meals, distributing over 1.5 million pounds of food, and contributing 13,000 volunteer hours to serve individuals and families in need. Through programs such as daily food distribution, homeless assistance, senior and child nutrition programs, utility assistance, transportation support for medical care, and spiritual support services, CISC continues to address both physical and emotional needs within the community.

An AED helps create a safer environment for staff, volunteers, and clients. Sudden cardiac arrest can happen without warning, and survival decreases by about 7–10% for every minute defibrillation is delayed. Having an AED readily available can significantly improve outcomes and save lives.

We are grateful for the opportunity to support an organization that continually serves others with compassion and dedication. Partnerships like this strengthen the health and safety of our entire community.

Because of the generosity and continued support of our community, the Angelina County Heart Alliance is able to place lifesaving equipment where it matters most.

Automated External Defibrillators (AEDs) save lives. When sudden cardiac arrest occurs, early defibrillation can significantly increase survival rates. Having accessible AEDs in our schools helps ensure that students, staff, and visitors have immediate access to this critical intervention.

Through your support, we are able to purchase much-needed AEDs and expand heart safety throughout Angelina County.

We are honored to present Lufkin ISD with an AED as part of our ongoing commitment to improving cardiac emergency preparedness and protecting our community.

We are excited to share that we, the Angelina County Heart Alliance recently donated a CPR mannequin to Central High School to support life-saving education. Under Chapter 74 of the Texas Education Code, all students in grades 7–12 are required to receive CPR instruction at least once before graduation.

By providing this mannequin, we’re helping ensure students get hands-on, practical training that meets national standards and giving them the confidence and skills to respond in an emergency.

This donation reflects our commitment to putting funds directly toward programs that make a real impact: preparing the next generation to save lives. We’re proud to support our schools, students, and community in this important way.

We are so grateful for the opportunity to share the mission of the Angelina County Heart Alliance with the St. Luke’s Health - Memorial Lufkin Volunteer Auxiliary. Accepting the donation is Carmen Grumbles a proud member of the volunteer auxiliary team. ❤️

Because of the support from our community and events like Purse Bingo, we are able to give back in meaningful ways. One of those is helping provide heart surgery bears—specially designed for patients recovering from open heart surgery.

These bears are more than just comfort items. They are thoughtfully made with firm support to help patients protect their chest and support sternal healing after surgery. Something so simple can make a significant difference in both comfort and recovery.

Moments like this are a reminder that what we do truly matters. Every dollar raised goes back into our community—supporting patients, promoting heart health, and making a real impact where it’s needed most.

It truly takes a village and tonight was the perfect example of that. ❤️

From the early planning stages to the final moments of the event, every minute, every hour, and every ounce of effort poured into Purse Bingo made it the success that it was. This night would not have been possible without an incredible group of people working behind the scenes and showing up in such a big way.

To our volunteers: thank you for your time, your energy, and your willingness to serve. You kept everything running smoothly and created such a welcoming, fun atmosphere.

To our sponsors: your generosity and support made this event possible. Because of you, we were able to provide an unforgettable experience while continuing to give back to our community.

To our dedicated board members and every member of the Angelina County Heart Alliance, your commitment, leadership, and heart for this mission does not go unnoticed. The time and effort you give, often behind the scenes, is what drives the impact we are able to make.

What an incredible night! 👜🎉

We are still smiling thinking about all the fun, laughter, and excitement from Purse Bingo. From the moment the doors opened to the very last game, the energy in the room was unforgettable.

Congratulations to all of our winners! From our amazing door prizes to the raffle giveaways and, of course, our purse bingo champions—so many of you went home with something special. Seeing the excitement as names were called, tickets were drawn, and purses were won made the night truly one to remember.
