Did you know July 28 is National Buffalo Soldiers Day? A day that commemorates the formation of the first regular Army regiments, compromising of African American Soldiers in 1866.

The first peacetime all-black regiment in the regular U.S. was established by Congress. The Buffalo Soldiers were the first to be instituted, the protected unsettled lands as pioneers moved westward, also facing the hardships of the Wild West!

They were also noted for their dedication and commitment during the Spanish-American War during the 1800’s.
