For every generation, vaccines work.

Vaccines have protected generation after generation for over 200 years and just in the past 50 years, vaccines have saved more than 150 million lives - not by accident, but because ordinary people made the decision to protect themselves, their children and one another. That’s 6 lives every minute, every day, for more than five decades.

Your decision makes a difference. Get vaccinated.

ACCHD administers vaccines Monday-Thursday from 7:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Cost is $25 for adults. For children, it's $10 for one shot or $20 for two or more. Cash, Medicaid and CHIP are accepted.

Babies rely on us for protection against vaccine-preventable diseases, and that protection starts at birth. The first two years of a child's life matter most, and it's important you stay on schedule with their recommended vaccines. Delaying vaccines does not create safety - it increases risk.

In honor of National Public Health Week, we had a week of celebrations for the amazing individuals who diligently serve the community at ACCHD!

Staff goodie bags were handed out on Monday, Tuesday kicked off with breakfast from Whataburger, we handed out Chick-fil-A gift cards and ACCHD umbrellas on Wednesday, and then the celebrations wrapped on Thursday with lunch from Bodacious BBQ. In between all of that, we held three giveaways that went to Shelia Handy, Ann Watson and Rosa Segura. What fun!

We look forward to continuing our service to the Angelina County community and to building a positive culture for our team. We can't thank them enough!

We are highlighting a powerful tool in public health this week: immunizations!

is one of the most effective tools we have to keep our community strong. Vaccines are vital to protecting infants, children, teens and adults for life, and one of the best ways we can strengthen our overall protection is closing the coverage gap.

ACCHD makes staying up-to-date with immunizations easy. Vaccines are administered Monday-Thursday from 7:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Cost is $25 for adults. For children, it's $10 for one shot or $20 for two or more. Cash, Medicaid and CHIP are accepted.
