Support systems matter more than we sometimes realize. 💙

Whether it’s family, friends, teachers, coaches, or your clinical care team the people around you can shape how you feel, the choices you make, and the strength you build along the way.

At Fortis Behavioral Health, we believe healing happens in connection. Our two-tier treatment team works collaboratively to ensure every patient has both medical and therapeutic support. Because no one should navigate their mental health journey alone.

If you or your child could benefit from additional support, we’re here to help. 💙

Honoring Black History Month means acknowledging how history, access, culture, and mental health intersect.

The numbers show that disparities in care still exist but so does resilience, strength, and community.

Healing is not one-size-fits-all. Culturally responsive support matters.

If you’re looking for Black-centered mental health resources, here are organizations doing meaningful work:

BEAM (Black Emotional & Mental Health Collective)

Association of Black Psychologists

Sista Afya Community Care

Therapy for Black Girls

Access to care saves lives. Community creates healing.

If you or someone you love needs support locally, Fortis Behavioral Health is here.

✨ This week is National Eating Disorders Awareness Week (Feb 23–March 1).

Eating disorders can affect anyone — regardless of age, gender, race, or background. They are serious medical and mental health conditions, but recovery is possible with the right support.

If you or someone you love is struggling with body image, food-related anxiety, restriction, bingeing, or purging behaviors, know that help is available.

Compassion matters. Early support matters.

You are not alone.

Today we paused our busy schedules to share a simple holiday lunch together, and I was reminded once again how grateful I am for the women who make Fortis Behavioral Health what it is. This work is heavy at times. It requires patience, compassion, resilience, and a steady commitment to doing right by the people we serve. These women show up every day with grace, professionalism, and heart, often carrying far more than anyone sees.

Christmas is a season of reflection and gratitude, and I am deeply thankful for a team that cares for one another, supports our patients with integrity, and serves our community so faithfully. I’m proud of the culture we’ve built together and grateful for each person who plays a part in it.

Merry Christmas from our Fortis family to yours.
