Two boys, one tiny dancer, and a whole lot of heart.
Her little dance spirit carried through the entire session... soft, expressive, and full of joy... while her brothers brought the fun and the energy. Watching this family move together was such a gift. Just a few of my favorite people. :)

Listen, moms.
The tired ones. The nervous ones. The ones Googling “is it too late for newborn photos?” at 2 a.m.

This baby was three weeks old.
She slept maybe a third of the session.
The rest of the time she was awake… and yes, a little fussy.

And her mom still received a full, beautiful gallery.

Because here’s the thing most people won’t tell you:
newborn sessions don’t have to look one specific way to be successful.

Your baby doesn’t have to sleep the whole time.
They don’t have to be “easy.”
You don’t have to apologize or feel anxious walking in.

I don’t rush. I don’t force. I follow your baby’s lead.
We pause when needed. We adjust. We meet your baby where they are that day.

So if you’re sitting there thinking,
“She’s too old.”
“She won’t sleep.”
“She’s fussy… this won’t work.”

Take a breath. I’ve got you. And I’ve got your baby.

This is why newborn photography is more than just owning a camera and adding “photographer” to a name.

It’s patience. Experience. And knowing how to create something beautiful... even when the plan changes.

Sweet Baby B,

You challenged me in the gentlest way.
Your three-week-old self made it clear you weren’t interested in being posed.
So I honored that.

You had already given us so much.
We still tried the little beanbag poses,
but you wouldn’t settle for anything less than the warmth of your mother.
So I honored that, too.

And then this moment happened,
a small, stolen breath in the middle of an ordinary moment.
This is where you belong,
right here
in your mother’s arms.

You led the way, sweet girl.
I simply followed.

Sometimes the truest portrait is the one a baby chooses for us.

Just a few of my favorites from this newborn session and my favorite colors. :)

Every day we have a choice. You’d never know that behind those peaceful frames,
there were tiny yawns, hungry cries, and mama’s patient hands.
She may not have slept much, but she was perfectly herself —
brand new, beautifully real, and loved beyond measure. 🤍

She didn’t sleep much, and that was okay.
This session wasn’t about perfect poses,
it was about her, just as she is.

Her parents drove an hour
and together we poured love and patience
into every little moment.

At just nine weeks,
she reminded us that beauty isn’t found in perfection.it’s found in presence.

Okay… this one-year cake smash might just live rent-free in my mind forever. 🥹

Mom absolutely knew the assignment and read my information on my website. Every little detail was so intentional—soft, simple, and full of texture in the best way. The older sister in her light brown skirt set (texture perfection), the younger in a plain white dress with those gentle details, their sweet boy in a striped top, and mom in that dreamy white blouse with the smallest hint of a pattern.

This is literally what my minimalist-loving heart dreams of. 😍
Simple. Thoughtful. Effortless.

Take notes, mamas... this is how you do timeless. 🤎

My Story

Thank you so much for your interest in me and my work. I specialize in Maternity, Newborn, Children and Family Photography.. so if that is what you are looking for, then you have found yourself in the right place. I am located in Lumberton, TX and serve Lumberton, Beaumont, Silsbee, Kountze and all surrounding areas.

I believe Burk Uzzle said it right when he stated, “Photography is a love affair with life”. Portraits are how we tell our story and I believe there is no story more beautiful to tell than the journey to becoming parents.

Parenthood, it does so many incredible things to us; it shows us our strength, our endurance and just how big our hearts can love. It reveals our weaknesses and our selfishness and it test us to the very core. It grows us in the most incredible ways and for some of us parenthood is just what we needed to become exactly who God intended us to be. It's quite ironic you see, because many years ago I declared to all those around me that I would never find myself doing newborn photography. I couldn’t imagine trying to pose a baby, wrangle a toddler or even muster the fortitude to get a small child to look my way and smile. But, God was working on me and he knew exactly what I needed. Parenthood. I needed it more than anything to understand who I am and what my purpose is. I know that I am doing exactly what I was called to do. You see every expectant mom with her beautiful growing belly, each newborn snuggle, every toddler I get to chase and giggle with and each doting family is the absolute best medicine for my soul. It brings me a joy that I carry with me through all other aspects of my life. It is also my creative outlet, it fulfills me and it helps me provide for my amazing family.

So I feel that I truly understand the value of these precious moments. I look at my 5 year old boy and 2 year old daughter and it is as if I just had them yesterday. Sometimes I don't even realize how much they have grown until I look at a photograph of them. THESE moments.. right HERE, right NOW.. they go by so fast and as we grow it seems the time we are given winds faster and faster. We blink and it's been years.. for some a decade. Before we know it so much of our precious time has past and we look around to wonder where it all went. Did we do it right? Did we celebrate our life? Did we value it? Did those around us feel we valued them? Photography is the only way to stop the clock and to freeze our most valuable moments. Cathy Lander-Goldbery, a licensed clinical social worker said that "displaying photos prominently in our home sends the message that our family and those in it are important to one another, and we honor the memories we have experienced." It also shows our children who they are and where they belong. So please, take some time and invest in portraits and celebrate the beautiful life that the good Lord has blessed you with. Leave your children and grandchildren priceless images that convey their history in the most beautiful way. Because really.. these photographs aren't for you. They are for those that come after you, it's their legacy.
