Quality Hearing Care

Quality Hearing Care Quality Hearing Care - Lumberton, NC
(910) 671-0102 Quality Hearing Care has two locations. Our main office is located in Lumberton at 4809 Fayetteville Rd.

Lumberton NC, 28358 and the office number is (910) 671-0102. Our second office is located in Southport at 1456 N Howe St Suite 101 Southport, NC 28461 and the office number is (910) 477-6163. Quality Hearing Care is locally owned and operated offering complete hearing health care. We use the latest state of the art equipment and comprehensive test to determine the patient’s level of hearing AND understanding. We can then accurately predict what the patient’s ability to hear AND understand will be after correction. With this information we can recommend the correct technology and power for the patient. Unlike other practices, we understand that hearing loss is most times accompanied by understanding loss. Making noise louder does not always make it easier to understand. It is necessary to manipulate the noise into usable information the brain can use. Only then will the “noise” become understandable. Free hearing test and free hearing aid service are just two of the free services we provide. We also offer re-testing and hearing aid adjustments which are essential when wearing aids. Just another free service we offer. All in all we are your one stop for your hearing health care. Our staff is highly trained and licensed professionals. We are all in good standing with the regulatory agencies of North Carolina. We treat everyone that comes through our doors like we would want our own family members treated. We work hard to find that unique solution your individual hearing problem. There are several medical conditions we can identity through normal testing that may need medical follow up care. When we find these we let out patients know they need to contact their primary care physician, or we refer them to a specialist. We also routinely send a report to the primary care doctor of the people we test so the results can be placed in their permanent medical file. This also lets all the other health care professionals that provide care to the folks we test with up to date testing information.

Here is a list of questions you can ask yourself to help you determine whether your grandparent might need a hearing test:

❤️ Do they frequently ask you to repeat yourself?
❤️ Do they often respond with answers that don't quite match the questions?
❤️ Do they seem to misunderstand conversations, especially in noisy environments?
❤️ Do they complain that others are "mumbling" or not speaking clearly?
❤️ Do they struggle to follow group conversations?
❤️ Do they keep the TV or radio volume much louder than others prefer?
❤️ Do they not hear the phone ringing or a knock at the door?
❤️ Do they seem more withdrawn or avoid social gatherings?
❤️ Have they become frustrated, anxious, or irritable during conversations?
❤️ Do they avoid phone or video calls?
❤️ Are they over the age of 65 (when routine hearing checks are generally recommended)?
❤️ Do they have a history of exposure to loud noise (military service, factory work, etc.)?
❤️ Have they mentioned a ringing or buzzing sound in their ears?

If you answer "yes" to several of these questions, it's a good idea to gently suggest a hearing test. Catching hearing issues early can make a big difference in their quality of life.
