Amanda Arleene (Power) Helmic passed peacefully surrounded by her loving daughters August 28th, 2025 in Midwest City, Oklahoma.

Amanda was born January 11th, 1965 in Midwest City, Oklahoma to Abigail Aileen (Cunningham) Power and Dee Woodrow Power. During childhood her family moved around living in Iran, Dubai, Saudi Arabia, Venezuela, Argentina and all over Oklahoma and Alaska. She graduated from Kenai Central High School in Kenai, Alaska in 1982.
After returning to Oklahoma in 2004 she started working for Dollar General starting in Prague then proudly managed the Tecumseh location until 2014.

To Amanda there was no stranger, she loved to banter with anyone who crossed her path. The last few years she worked at the Prague and Meeker Smoke Shops in which she accrued many more friends where they may have held up the drive thru line a bit and powwowed on the porch. An avid reader, you'd usually find her with a book in her hands but in the last year had been consumed by Facebook reel conspiracies instead. She enjoyed cooking and baking in which she would always be giving out tatertot casseroles, pork chops with her special mustard sauce, cookies, etc. to friends and family. She was always willing to give and help at the drop of a hat. Lovingly called Madre by most, she was exactly that, a mother figure to all. She was an amazing Mother, Memaw and friend who will greatly be missed.

Amanda is preceded in death by her father Dee Woodrow Power, paternal grandparents Melton Woodrow Power and Helen Arleene (Perkins) Power , maternal grandparents Andrew Cunningham and Amanda(Peña) Cunningham.
She is survived by her mother Abbie Power of Macomb, OK, three daughters Abigail and Justin Lewis of Macomb, OK, Kachena and Cammeron Hull of Eagle River, AK, Caitlin Stephens of Meeker, OK, six grandsons Kaylen Putman, Mikah Lewis, Killian Hull, Gideon Hull, Jack Lewis, Frankie Lewis and one granddaughter Liv Stephens.
Services: 9/5/2025 at 11:00 AM @ Faith Bible Church in Prague.
