At Accelerate ACL, we’ve been privileged to work with some truly extraordinary individuals. Over the years, we’ve received unforgettable gifts — signed jerseys from pro athletes, exclusive event invites, even all-expense-paid trips. But recently, we received something profoundly meaningful: a medallion from SEAL Team 4, gifted by a Navy SEAL we helped prepare for deployment.

🎖This medallion isn’t just a token; it’s a powerful symbol of dedication, resilience, and sacrifice. Helping those who serve our country is a humbling reminder of the impact our work can have — not just for individuals but for the missions and communities they protect. But this medallion is more than a gift — it’s a testament to teamwork, trust, and the relentless drive to overcome challenges.💪🏽⚡️

🇺🇸To all our military clients, thank you for inspiring us with your courage. We’re honored to be part of your journey.

At Accelerate ACL, recovery is about more than just physical therapy — it’s about pushing beyond what you think you’re capable of. That’s one of the reasons we created the 100 Club, where our clients prove to themselves they can go further than they ever imagined.

The journey back from an ACL injury can be filled with doubt. But crossing that threshold — the one where you once believed, “I’ll never get there” — builds not just the physical strength, but the mental and emotional resilience needed to return to your sport with confidence.🧠💥

Pushing limits isn’t just about muscle; it’s about making critical neuromuscular adaptations, laying the foundation for an even stronger return.🏃‍♂️🔥

Please welcome the newest members of the 100 Club, and !💪🏽⚡️

We couldn’t be more excited for Barrett! Not only is he a proud member of the 100 Club, but he has now officially achieved the status of a “curve crosser.”📈

As Barrett puts it, “Next stop is crossing over the AACL average💪🏻”

What makes his functional scores even more impressive is how restricted Barrett was early in his recovery. The individuals in this data set have undergone ACL reconstruction only. However, Barrett’s ACL reconstruction included both a lateral extra-articular tenodesis (LET) procedure and an internal brace. Due to this, his surgeon’s protocol required him to limit his range of motion to 90 degrees and remain non-weight bearing for the first 6 weeks.

We often get asked by inquiring, prospective clients, “Should I wait to start the Accelerate ACL program until I can bear weight? There probably isn’t much we could do immediately after surgery…”

This couldn’t be further from the truth. Our data consistently shows that addressing neuromuscular dysfunction and deficits is even more critical during the non-weight-bearing phase to optimize the recovery process.

However, let us be clear: this has been no easy journey for Barrett. He has successfully completed 1-2 AACL sessions per day, combined with passive recovery work, all while keeping up with his weekly physical therapy program. Needless to say, it’s been quite the grind.

Congratulations, Barrett! We look forward to continuing to support you on your ACL recovery journey!💪🏽⚡️

13 mile wade through a river with winding turns and slipper rocks and gravel, just 7 months after ACL reconstruction and meniscus repair. Amazing! But if you only knew how much has been touring the world since surgery, this may not come as a surprise! 🎸

It’s been an absolute pleasure working with and getting to know Justin, who is also an incredible musician/bassist — keep up the great work, brother!💪⚡️

✏️About LEFS:
The Lower Extremity Functional Scale (LEFS) is a questionnaire containing 20 questions about a person’s ability to perform everyday tasks. The LEFS can be used by clinicians as a measure of patients’ initial function, ongoing progress and outcome, as well as to set functional goals. The LEFS can be used to evaluate the functional impairment of a patient with a disorder of one or both lower extremities. It can be used to monitor the patient over time and to evaluate the effectiveness of an intervention.

📝Scoring Instructions:
The columns on the scale are summed to get a total score. The maximum score is 80.

📈Interpretation of Scores:
* The lower the score the greater the disability.
* The minimal detectable change is 9 scale points.
* The minimal clinically important difference is 9 scale points.
* % of maximal function = (LEFS score) / 80 * 100 Performance: The potential error at a given point in time was +/- 5.3 scale points. Test-retest reliability was 0.94.
* Construct reliability was determined by comparison with the SF-36.
* The scale was found to be reliable with a sensitivity to change superior to the SF-36.

The quads on are growing at almost 1” per month 👀

Brian cranks up to 100 and puts the work in day after day. He’s positive, self motivated, creates his own goals for each session, and has been extraordinarily consistent in his approach. I can’t wait to see what he does in his return to the court, coming back from this injury bigger, faster, and stronger than ever before 🦵🏼⚡️
