Our name, The Hearing Wellness Center, signifies our dedication to our patient's overall hearing wellness, not just treating a loss once it happens. As we've seen in earlier posts during , wellness is wholistic and lifelong, and your hearing health is too! Your hearing today is a result of all of your life experiences so far. With this idea, we recommend the use of hearing protection to every patient we meet, whether they have hearing loss already, they work in a noisy profession, or they are an occasional concert-goer still in their youth. Because every exposure to loud noise is an opportunity for hearing loss!

We also strive to support hearing wellness through recommending proactive monitoring of your hearing, starting by the fifth decade of life, with a baseline hearing evaluation followed by monitoring every five years if your risk is low and your hearing is normal. If a hearing loss is discovered, we will work with you to determine the best course of treatment and monitoring of your loss. 💫 👂

Last week, we bid farewell and good luck to another pair of amazing students from and , Razan and Olivia. As we know, the end of each semester is bittersweet for us because our amazing interns will be sorely missed but we know they are one step closer to being amazing audiologists. We wish both these ladies great success wherever their path takes them and know they will each be an asset to the profession. 👂
