I’m honored to be featured by Bold Journey, a platform dedicated to sharing real stories, real challenges, and real growth. Their mission is powerful, creating space for people to learn from one another’s experiences, take bold risks, and step into their highest potential.

In this interview, I share the foundation of who I am, the roots that made me strong enough to build Tree of Elm. We touch on the life experiences, challenges, and influences that shaped my character long before my caregiving journey inspired the business. This feature is just the surface of my story, but it’s a meaningful glimpse into the journey that made me.

Another move-in day in the books this Friday for one happy senior 🤍

The family of my client was eager to get their mom into a community where she could truly thrive again. Being home alone, no longer able to drive, slowly led to isolation and depression. What started as safety became limitation.

Think about how it feels being stuck inside for just a few days because of bad weather. For many seniors, that’s their everyday reality. Moving into the right community doesn’t take independence away, it restores it. It gives them connection, purpose, and their life back.

If you or someone you love is experiencing this kind of isolation, please know you’re not alone. Call me. We can figure this out together

Tree of Elm’s first move-in of 2026 🎉
And we made it happen in less than 48 hours.

What made this placement so special?
I reached out to one of my preferred senior living communities to check availability. She shared that they had just opened their third location and were ready to serve my client immediately.

The family toured, fell in love, and today he is officially moving in 🏡✨

This is what happens when trusted relationships, responsiveness, and advocacy come together.

From us to you! Merry Christmas 🎁

This holiday season at Tree of Elm, our hearts are filled with gratitude. Family and community remain at the center of everything we do. While this year has been marked by the loss of my mother, my faith has carried me through and reminded me that God’s presence is closest in our moments of sorrow and reflection.

Even in grief, there is gratitude. Gratitude for a life well lived, for the love she poured into others, and for the community God placed around me to uplift, support, and cover me in prayer. This season has strengthened my belief that we are never walking alone and that God uses community as a vessel of His love and comfort.

As we reflect and celebrate, we honor legacy, embrace faith, and give thanks for every family we serve, every relationship we have built, and every opportunity to continue our mission of care and compassion through Tree of Elm.

Wishing you and your loved ones a holiday season filled with peace, comfort, and the reassurance of God’s grace 🤍

Forever my angel 🕊️may she rest in the arms of God.

Tree of ELM was founded by me through my own challenges as a caregiver, born from the lack of resources and support I experienced while caring for my mother—the beautiful woman you see pictured here.

Even though I’ve worked in healthcare my entire adult life, nothing prepares you for the journey when it becomes personal. As the years went on and the journey became harder, I refused to let any obstacle break me. Instead, I turned every challenge into an opportunity, a lesson, or a resource I could give to someone else.

What most people didn’t know was that I was using my pain to carve a path toward my purpose. I cried so many tears along the way because some things couldn’t be fixed… no matter how hard I tried.

On the night of November 24th, 2025, my caregiver journey with my mom came to an end as she took her last breath.

Right now, my heart is aching, and I’m still trying to wrap my mind around the reality of it all. I know this season of grief will change with time, but my life will forever be different.

I made a promise to my mother that I would always use her journey to help others through theirs—and I’ve never felt the weight and the power of that promise more deeply than I do now.

It’s never goodbye. It’s “See you later.”

May my mother rest in peace.

✨ Grand Opening Announcement ✨

Tree of Elm was honored to attend the grand opening of the new PACE Program Center at Mondawmin Mall, part of The Village at Mondawmin redevelopment.

PACE, the Program of All-Inclusive Care for the Elderly, helps older adults stay independent at home while receiving wraparound care in the community.

The new center will provide healthcare, day services, transportation, and social support all under one roof, making it easier for seniors in West Baltimore to thrive close to home.

At Tree of Elm, we don’t just focus on assisted living needs. We also help families connect with the right resources to support every stage of care, from in-home services to community programs like PACE.

This milestone marks a powerful investment in community health and wellness, and Tree of Elm is proud to celebrate alongside the people that who made it possible. 🌿

Did you know today is International Coffee Day? ☕️ I sure didn’t until I stumbled across it on social media this morning!

I’ve been a coffee drinker since my early 20s. These days, I stick to just one cup—now decaf with almond milk (no sugar or sweeteners). I don’t drink it for the caffeine anymore, I simply enjoy the taste. How about you—team coffee or no coffee?

That one cup sets the tone for my day and helps me step into the responsibilities of running . Whether it’s senior living guidance or real estate solutions, we’re here to help you navigate with clarity and care.

That’s the Tree of ELM way 🌿

has been booked, busy, and blessed this year making a difference in so many lives. 💫

These are just a few of my favorite seniors we had the blessing of helping this month. Their smiles say it all they’ve found joy and comfort in their new communities.

Some sold their lifelong homes and trusted me to guide them through the process. Others realized living alone was no longer the best option and chose the warmth of community living. No matter their journey, Tree of Elm was there, holding their hand every step of the way.

It’s truly an honor to play such a life-changing role in the lives of seniors. ❤️

Kindness matters!!! 🌹

One of my favorite seniors in the whole wide world lost her husband last month. Yesterday would have been their 39th wedding anniversary ask me how I know?

On one of my visits, I noticed a plaque on her wall with their names and wedding date. It stuck with me, and I never forgot it.

All last week I kept thinking about how I could honor their love and show respect for their marriage. I decided on one rose for every year they were married. When I called the florist and shared the significance, she was just as excited as I was to make it happen.

Yesterday, I hand delivered 39 roses to a grieving wife. Needless to say, we both cried. 🥹

It’s truly a blessing to be a blessing. 💜 will always be family to the people we serve.

✨ Happy September everyone! ✨

I took a much-needed break over the holiday weekend to regroup after such a wonderful and successful August.

Speaking of August, I want to share a couple of success stories. Pictured here are two of the many amazing families I’ve been blessed to work with recently.

💫 One client sold her home after living in it for over 55 years — her entire adult life!
💫 Another, who will be celebrating her 97th birthday this month, decided to make a change after living alone for more than 20 years since her husband’s passing.

Both women are overjoyed with their decision to take back their power and move into environments that truly fit their lives today.

And a little fun fact: on move-in or settlement day, I’ve stopped wearing makeup — because there are always tears, and never for sad reasons. ❤️

🌳 Tree of Elm is on a mission to help seniors take back their power. Out with the old, in with the new — it’s never too late to start fresh and truly enjoy life
