Pavilion Families, we hope you are having this much fun in the snow, but sadly we are unable to open tomorrow. If you were already scheduled for an in-person visit, please either call the office or visit our website to reschedule. If you have a televisit already scheduled for tomorrow, please look out for a link from your provider in the morning. We will be doing these visits in the AM. If you need to speak with your provider and would like to schedule a televisit, please call the office tomorrow and you will be prompted to leave a message. Stay safe and enjoy the snow day!

Pssst. Shhhh. We’re celebrating Dr Hearns’ 25th anniversary with Pavilion Pediatrics. We’d like to surprise her (she’s not on here) with a booklet containing patient and family reflections. In pediatrics, we keep our eye on the young patient in front of us but also on what we hope for that same patient in middle age and beyond. We stress the importance of healthy habits: proper nutrition, routine exercise, and sufficient sleep, starting at a young age. This interesting study demonstrates what we’ve long thought to be true: good cardiovascular health in youth correlates to good cardiovascular health in midlife and beyond.

Using the American Heart Association’s Life’s Essential 8 model, researchers indicated that preventative action early in life can reduce chances of developing cardiovascular disease later.

If you really want to know who runs this place, look no further than Toloria. She has been running the show for over 21 years. She is the first to arrive in the morning. She makes sure the electricity is on, all systems are running, and ensures that we are ready for the day, all before most of us have even woken up. Montana is the newest member of our administrative team, but she has been part of The Pavilion Family for over 15 years, first as a patient, and now as a wonderful addition to our front desk crew. Always smiling, always willing to take on new tasks, she helps patients schedule follow up appointments and arrange specialty care. She brightens all of our days with her good cheer.
