Another amazing year at the 2025 National Alliance for Children’s Grief (NACG) Symposium for Suncoast Kids Place.

It’s a cherished opportunity to be able to attend the NACG with other childhood bereavement professionals and learn the latest research and clinical developments in working with children and teens who are grieving in order to enhance skills and knowledge to delver state-of-the-art services to these children and adolescents; engage in dialogue with colleagues, clinicians, researchers, and other grief, support professionals to exchange ideas, information, and clinical expertise.

The symposium offers varied workshops and poster presentations on topics important to children’s grief issues, program development, non-profit administration, activities, fundraising, group support models, and more!

This time together gets us so pumped and excited for the work that we get to do, it’s truly an honor to do what we do and we are so blessed to do this work as an expression of the ongoing ministry of Jesus Christ through ! 💜

Celebrating 17 years of community outreach, hope, and healing at Suncoast Kids Place! 💜💚✨

We are deeply grateful for the trust and connection we’ve built over the years with our families, staff, volunteers, and community partners.

Through it all, the love and grace of Jesus has been present in every detail—guiding our planning, meetings, and the work we do with our families.

When employees are navigating grief, the workplace can either be a source of added stress—or a pillar of support. This one-hour virtual panel will explore how compassionate policies, empathetic leadership, and practical resources can help create a workplace culture where those experiencing loss feel acknowledged and supported.

Panelists will share strategies for:
- Recognizing signs of grief
- Responding without judgment
- Reducing stigma
- Connecting individuals and their families with meaningful support.

💭 This Community Conversation is for anyone in a support role – HR professionals, Employee Assistance Programs (EAP) providers, managers, teammates - or anyone navigating the loss of your person.

This conversation is supported by New York Life Insurance Company Foundation and Independence Blue Cross Foundation

When we come together in grief, we create a space where no one has to carry their sorrow by themselves. We offer each other the strength to hold what feels too heavy alone. 🫂

Bay Hope Cares and Suncoast Kids Place comes together each year to host the annual “A Walk to Remember.”

This event is for those grieving the death of a significant person. We share a meal together, create posters in honor of our people who have died, take a memorial walk around the lake, and experience a time of scripture and prayer, concluding with a butterfly release.🦋

Thankful for an evening that reminds us how healing it is to be together. 💛
