New episode of the “Toxic Mold Sucks” podcast is officially out, and I’m incredibly honored to have been invited by the Malachi’s Message Foundation to sit down with Emily and share my story.

For so many years, I searched for answers while silently struggling with symptoms that impacted nearly every part of my life. I had no idea toxic mold exposure was at the root of what I was experiencing.

Today, being able to use my journey, my education, and my experience to help others navigate this path is something I do not take lightly. This work is not just a career for me… it truly feels like my calling.

If sharing my story helps even one person feel seen, gives one family hope, or helps someone finally connect the dots to their own healing journey, then I’ve done my job.

Healing is possible. It may not be linear, and it may not happen overnight, but there is hope.

Thank you to Emily and the Malachi’s Message Foundation for creating space for these conversations and for helping spread awareness about the very real impact toxic mold can have on health.

Would love for you all to tune in, share, and help spread the message.

So many people wonder if they will ever get better after being exposed to mold for years. Listen to Danielle's incredible story of how she finally discovered...

Huge thank you to Aubrey and the Mold Free Mom Podcast for having me on the show. I had such a great time sitting down and having a real conversation about mold illness, chronic symptoms, healing, nervous system overwhelm, and why so many people feel dismissed while searching for answers.

One thing I really appreciated about our conversation was how honest and grounded it felt. We talked about the reality that mold illness does not always look obvious, how different family members can react completely differently in the same environment, and why healing has to involve both the body AND the environment.

I also loved being able to share pieces of my own journey and the work I now do helping others navigate this incredibly overwhelming process. These conversations matter because so many people are silently struggling, feeling unheard, and wondering if they’re ever going to feel like themselves again.

Aubrey has created such an encouraging space for people walking through chronic illness and mold recovery, and I’m grateful to have been part of it. Thank you again for the opportunity and for making it such a fun and meaningful conversation. 🤍

If you’ve been struggling with mystery symptoms, chronic inflammation, fatigue, neurological symptoms, or feel like something is “off” but can’t figure out why… this episode is definitely worth a listen.

You did everything "right" and you're still sick.

Holistic diet. Gut protocols. Every test under the sun. And your body still won't let you live.

I sat down with Danielle Tarjoman, founder of Mold Mend, trained directly under Dr. Andrew Campbell, one of the foremost experts in mycotoxin illness. Her story sounded a lot like mine. Crunchy, holistic, chasing every possible answer, still not well.
The thing nobody had looked for was mold colonization. Not exposure. Not a positive urine test. Living, replicating mold inside her sinuses, lungs, and gut. And here's what stopped me cold: you can be fully colonized with zero symptoms in any of those areas.

We got into why urine mycotoxin tests miss this so often, the three reasons people stay stuck no matter what they try, and the realistic timeline for actually clearing it.
If you've tested negative, cleaned everything up, and still feel like your body is holding you hostage, this one is for you.

Killing mold isn’t the goal. ❌

Both live and dead mold spores can affect your health.
✔️ Viable spores = can grow under the right conditions
✔️ Non-viable spores = can’t grow… but can still cause harm

Here’s where it gets tricky 👇

🔬 Microscopy can detect spores…but can’t tell if they’re alive or dead

🧫 Petri dish (culture) tests can grow viable spores…but not all viable spores will grow in lab conditions

👉 Translation: No single test tells the whole story which is why testing is only one piece of the puzzle.

And more importantly…“dead mold” isn’t harmless.

That’s why the goal is never to kill mold…it’s to remove it.

Want to learn more about nonculturable testing methods like air testing, tape lifts, swabs, and MSQPCR (ERMI) sampling?

We break it all down with Indoor Environmental Professional Jessica McQuade.

I’m incredibly honored and excited to share that I have been selected as a Founding Board Member of the Health-Centered Mold Professionals Alliance Network.

This opportunity means so much to me, not only as a health practitioner, but as someone who has personally walked the mold healing journey and now has the privilege of helping others do the same.

One of the biggest things I’ve learned over the years is this: healing from mold exposure truly takes a village. There are so many moving parts — environment, remediation, inspection, medical support, nervous system work, nutrition, and more. No single professional can do it alone, and no client should have to navigate it alone.

Being part of this board connects me with an incredible group of professionals across multiple specialties who are all working toward the same goal — improving standards, collaboration, and outcomes in the mold space. It allows me to continue learning, growing, and strengthening the resources I can provide to the people I serve.

I’m grateful to now have trusted experts in my back pocket, and just as importantly, to be able to learn from others who are just as passionate about helping families heal.

This is a big step toward positive change in the mold industry, and I’m truly honored to be part of it.

Here’s to collaboration, education, and building a stronger path forward for those navigating mold illness. 💚

If you are in the mold industry and I haven’t invited you to this group, please message me. We would love for you to be apart of this.
