🌡️ Heat Alert: Stay Safe in Extreme Temperatures!

With heat indices in the triple digits, the risk for heat-related illnesses, including heat cramps, heat exhaustion, and heat stroke rises significantly. These conditions can become life-threatening without quick action.

✅ Know the Warning Signs:
• Heat Cramps: Muscle pains, spasms, profuse sweating
• Heat Exhaustion: Heavy sweating, dizziness, nausea, fainting
• Heat Stroke: Body temp 106°F+, red/dry skin, confusion, rapid pulse (Medical Emergency—call 911!)

✅ Prevention Tips:
✔ Drink plenty of water (avoid alcohol & caffeine)
✔ Stay in air-conditioned spaces when possible
✔ Wear light, loose clothing & sunscreen SPF 15+
✔ Take cool showers & avoid strenuous activity during peak heat
✔ Never leave children or pets in parked cars

Individuals with heart disease, diabetes, obesity, older adults, and young children are at greater risk.
