We’re bringing back a cherished tradition at Crenshaw Community Hospital – the Pink Ladies Volunteer Program! 🌸

Our Pink Ladies were once a shining example of kindness, service, and community spirit. Dressed in their pink jackets, they welcomed visitors, delivered flowers, offered comfort, and helped make the hospital feel like home.

Now, we’re looking for caring individuals who would like to carry on that legacy. ✨

👩‍🍳✨ Chef Hats All Around ✨👨‍🍳

After attending the ANFP Fall Conference 2025, Jeanie came back to the hospital with a special surprise for her team. She brought chef hats from the event and asked if we would take a photo, and of course we said yes.

The conference theme was “Chasing Sunsets and Dreams,” and Jeanie brought that spirit home to share with her coworkers.

We are proud of Jeanie for representing our cafeteria team and for always making sure everyone feels included.

💜💚 Light the Night for Hope 💚💜

Last night, we gathered for Crenshaw Community Hospital’s first annual Su***de Awareness and Prevention Vigil. We are so thankful for everyone who came, shared, and helped make this evening possible. We lit up the night with teal and purple glow sticks, bracelets, and necklaces.

Together, we honored the lives of friends and loved ones gone too soon, while also standing united in hope and prevention.

A special thank you to:

Mel Stokes, Marketing Coordinator, for welcoming everyone and reading a touching poem.

Kathy Smyth, who spoke on behalf of Luverne City Counsel Member and shared important education.

April Cooper, our Director of Behavioral Health, for her heartfelt message and passion for mental health.

Danny Duncan, for leading us in prayer and sharing words of encouragement. He did an amazing job.

Your presence and voices made this vigil truly meaningful. This is only the beginning, we look forward to growing this event each year, continuing to raise awareness, honor lives, and strengthen our commitment to prevention.

Today, we honor the lives lost, the heroes who served, and the families forever changed. Though the years have passed, the memory and impact of that day remain close to our hearts.

✨ Speaker Spotlight: Pastor Danny Duncan ✨

We are honored to have our very own CCH employee, Pastor Danny Duncan as one of our speakers at the Light the Night for Hope Su***de Awareness Vigil.

Pastor Danny has served as a preacher for 18 years and is a member of Live Oak Community Church. A lifelong resident of Luverne/Crenshaw County for 58 years, he carries a deep love for this community.

He will share a special message of hope and lead us in prayer during the vigil. 💜💙

📅 When: Wednesday, September 10th at 6:45 PM
📍 Where: Crenshaw Community Hospital (front of the hospital)

Join us as we honor loved ones, stand together in support of recovery, and shine a light of hope. Glow sticks will be provided! 🌟n
