Hello everyone! It’s been a while since I really posted on The Genie Within page. I want to share a little of what has been happening in my life. Two years ago I gave myself a deadline. This deadline was about me stepping out of the shadows. What does that mean exactly? Well, as you all know I have owned a store since 2011. First in Bay Shore then in Babylon.
Retail has changed drastically since 2011 when I first opened The Genie Within. Many of you that have come to my store know that my store was set in the back. You had to walk through a long hallway into the back space and there you would find what I called my
“Hidden Gem” I will no longer hide.
As of March 1st the Genie Within Store in Babylon is closed. I have NOW RENTED AN OFFICE SPACE FOR MY SPIRITUAL PRACTICE!!! I am in a NEW LOCATION NOW!
The second phase of the work I will be doing is called ASK THE GENIE! Ask The Genie is a spiritual life coaching, energy work, aromatherapy, reflexology, acupuncture, Reiki, hospice, nursing homes complimentary kind of alternative healing for those that are suffering home bound and in need of love, kindness and compassion. Ask The Genie will also have a big social media presence.
I will also be doing many workshops geared to the spiritual awakening process and bi-weekly meditations and of course Goddess Circles geared to the Sacred Feminine. Virgin Mary, Mary Magdalene, Isis, Green Tara, Kali and Quan Yin inspired Goddess Circles to empower women of all ages!
My complimentary services have to do with my ministry as a Reverend and Interfaith Minister which by the way, I went to seminary school for a two year program.
I will offering my natural healing services for all in need without exception.
I have joined a group of caring and powerful people who want to create a positive change for our children. So we set out to create a non for profit organization geared for our youth. I am proud to say that I am the Vice President of this amazing organization. My role in this organization is bringing spirituality for the young generation of future leaders. We will have a grand opening coming in April.
In Wings of Empowerment they will have a strong spiritual foundation to be empowered from a place of self-love, assertiveness, free spirited, self-assured, goal oriented, compassionate, being mindful and taking responsibility for their actions and having an awareness of the consequences of any wrong doings. This is what I am committed to teaching our youth.
I will continue to do my psychic readings with a huge emphasis on working at the root level of people’s wounds so that they can surface and I together with my client can heal and embrace the wounds that will result in a catalyst for their spiritual awakening.
I know that there are some people that will view the closing of the store as a negative event. There will be others that may even be happy about it and view it as a failure.
Make NO mistake about it—this is Damaris doing God’s Sacred Work and my life purpose! This is truly what I signed up for and I have completely come out of my genie bottle!! 😆
