Did you know that using antidepressants may not improve your quality of life? A study has revealed that 67% of females and 60% of males using antidepressants did not experience any increase in quality of life. In fact, using these drugs causes side effects in 70% of people, which will experience sexual dysfunction, fatigue, suicidal thoughts, nausea, gastrointestinal issues, tremors, insomnia, and withdrawal syndrome, according to the NHI. A test we can do here (Qeeg) can identify depression symptoms with a 93% accuracy, and there are natural solutions we offer here. So call us today to see if we can improve your quality of life.

Background Despite the empirical literature demonstrating the efficacy of antidepressant medications for treatment of depression disorder, these medications’ effect on patients’ overall well-being and health-related quality of life (HRQoL) remains controversial. This study investigates the effec...

Are you interested in knowing if you have a biomarker for Alzheimer's? This study ran 534 Qeegs (quantitative electroencephalography) on people 40-90 years old, consisting of 269 healthy patients and 265 Alzheimer's patients. It showed that Alzheimer's patients had a specific biomarker 100% of the time, whereas healthy patients did not. This biomarker was able to be picked up on a Qeeg scan every time. Why not run one on yourself today before you forget?

The findings suggest that examining PSD and functional connectivity through coherence analysis could serve as a promising and comprehensive approach to differentiate individuals with AD from normal, which may benefit our understanding of the disease.

Today's article comes from the University of Gothenburg, and it talks about when people have chronic anxiety, the best thing to do is exercise which can relieve their symptoms. Even if it is moderate or strenuous exercise, it changed even the worse cases, and the study only lasted 12 weeks. All they did was change their workout routine. Now strenuous activity changed their symptoms even more than moderate, but moderate exercise still changed how they experienced life. Now, why does this matter to you? If you suffer from anxiety, the best thing for you to do is get moving, even if it is just a walk a day, or come check out our brain rehab guy to figure out why or what is causing the anxiety.

Today's article comes from the University of Colorado, and it discusses how music therapy can improve fine motor skills in patients with Parkinson's disease. The study talks about how when Parkinson's patients are doing music therapy, it tends to soothe their tremor and overall symptoms. When a person is playing an instrument or shadowing an instrument, your body tries to match the tempo of the music you're listening to, just like how heavy metal gets most people excited. The concept is the exact same if they can make your body slowly increase its tempo; it increases the neuro network's speed, making the fine motor move quicker. Plus, having the reinforcement of hitting the keys will strengthen that neuro pathway. This matters to you because if you have a family member with Parkinson's or having issues with your fine motor movement, try learning a new musical instrument or check our brain rehab guy out for helping with the tempo and frequency that would suit you best.

Zombies may just be tired.
Today’s article comes from MIT, and it discusses how sleepiness affects your walking and how clumsy you are. We all know how if you don’t get enough sleep, your brain’s overall function decreases, especially in processing situations and overall cognition. This article breaks down how walking gets affected because it is a very complex task for our brain to do. The good part is that our brain doesn’t have to think about it. The bad thing is that if the overall processing rate slows down, it causes our brain to think about walking. If you have to think about every step you take, you may end up walking like a zombie or stumbling over things that you usually don’t. This matters to you because if you are not sleeping right due to not enough neurochemical release or your brain not being able to shut itself off. The overall quality of your life dramatically decreases from constantly smashing your toes, not being able to control your movements when walking, and having constant cognitive issues going in. Hope is not lost, though. There are many different options to help you sleep, but here are some of the best ones, in my opinion. Those options are mediation, exercise, or you can always see the brain rehab guy.

Insufficient sleep can negatively affect walking, specifically how we control stride and gait. Those who experienced a lack of sleep demonstrated less control when they walked.

Foundation can’t cover that.

Today’s article comes from the University of Illinois, and the article connects the link between Herpes Simplex (cold sores) and neurodegenerative diseases. How herpes virus works is it attacks the neurons causing inflammation to your brain and the area that is affected, that’s why if you ever get one, it hurts to touch it or even get a cold breeze on it. So, the link that they made is that when you have herpes virus, your nervous system is continuously attacked. Since the system can’t stop the attack, that attack accelerates neuronal damage, which neuronal damage leads to neurodegenerative disease. Why this matters to you is that if you have a herpes virus make sure to take supplements to de-inflame your brain and decrease your viral load or through our brain rehab program. That way there is less neuronal damage leading you to have a healthier brain.

A new study by researchers at University of Illinois Chicago suggests that when the protein optineurin, or OPTN, is present in cells it restricts the spread of HSV-1, the herpes simplex virus type 1. In a “first of its kind” study, researchers also found a potential direct connection between neu...
