As stay at home orders are slowly being lifted in our area, we at American Vision are opening our doors for routine eye care, glasses and contact lenses. In an effort to create a safe and comfortable space for you to receive optometric care, we have implemented the following guidelines for our patients and staff:
All services, examinations, eyeglass purchases, dispensing and adjustments will be provided by appointment only. We will space out appointments in a way that will allow our staff to sterilize office fixtures and equipment before and after each patientβs visit. Exam rooms will be completely disinfected between appointments.
We will frequently wipe down counters, chairs, equipment and doorknobs. Eyeglasses frames will be promptly disinfected after use.
If you arenβt feeling well (Fever, cough, shortness of breath) or have been in recent contact with someone who is ill we ask that you let us know prior to your visit and we will postpone your appointment by 2-3 weeks.
All patients and staff will be screened at the door for a fever using a touchless thermometer. Fever over 100 degrees F will not be permitted to enter.
You will be asked to wash or disinfect your hands upon entering the office, as well as when you enter different rooms.
All staff and patients are required to wear a mask (cloth, surgical or NON-VENTED N95) over your nose and mouth at all times unless directed to remove by staff. You will not be permitted in the office without one. We wear our masks to protect you! We ask you to wear yours to do the same for us.
Only patients receiving optometric or optical care are allowed in the office. No guests including family members. Exceptions will only be made for ONE parent or guardian accompanying minor children.
When you arrive, please knock on our door to allow entry. In order to maintain proper social distancing in the optical and waiting area, we may ask you to wait outside or in your car until we are ready for you. Please keep your cell phone close if you're not parked nearby.
We understand that these changes may all seem like a lot. COVID-19 has forced us all to step outside our comfort zones. As we continue to adapt to this new reality, we ask for your help to ensure that all of our patients receive the care they need with comfort and safety. We appreciate your loyalty and support of our business during this challenging time and look forward to seeing you soon!
