You can ALWAYS begin again!

My mom was an aerobics instructor my whole life, and every year she would share the same statistic with her New Year's Resolutioners: 66% of people who start a work out regime for the new year quit within the first 6 weeks. Then, she would say "DON'T BE A STATISTIC!"

As we finish out the 6th week of 2024, take a moment to recommit to your goals. If you feel like you have already failed, simply begin again. If you feel like they are going really well, begin again anyway! Refresh and renew your intentions in this present moment.

Tomorrow is the lunar new year to mark the beginning of the Yang Wood Dragon year. What perfect timing!

If you aren't sure what your intentions are/should be, come join me for class! Getting your mind and body moving coherently together is the first step to creating more clarity and power in your life. You've got this!

Hi all! I am super enthusiastic about presenting this workshop experience on New Year's Day 2024!!

We will welcome the first sunrise of a brand new year by moving with our breath, connecting with our highest selves, and establishing powerful intentions to guide us through 2024. We will also celebrate the moment with a non-alcoholic mimosa bar!

Details: James River Yoga in Lynchburg, VA (or online), 1/1/24 7:30am-9:30am, $30

All levels of experience are welcome and encouraged to attend! Bring your own mat and/or journal if desired. Livestream options are available by request.

Happy Halloween and Blessed Samhain to all my friends who celebrate! 🎃👻

This is the time of year when we are called to draw inward and see our shadow sides. 🌑 Sometimes what shows up in our minds may be scary or uncomfortable. A disciplined mind helps us to see whatever is there in our minds with equanimity and compassion.

One powerful practice 🧘‍♀️ is to repeat "Neti Neti," meaning "not this, not that," silently on your inhale and exhale. No matter what arises in your mind, you are so much more.

Enjoy this holiday of shadow play, and when you take some time for reflection, may you find peace. ☮️🙏🕉️❤️

There is still time to join us this afternoon from 2-4pm at James River Yoga for the Learning to Love Meditation ❤🧘 workshop!

How are you spending your time? I've always liked this quote, even if I haven't always lived by it. If your life is being spent running around busy all the time, you are missing the opportunity to connect with the present moment.

Take a couple of hours this afternoon to give yourself the gift of present moment consciousness. Maybe you'll find those 20 minutes a day with the right tools and support.

Meditation is a practice. 🧘 It takes a little time, a lot of focus, and a willingness to begin again and again and again. And creating space in your mind is so worth it.

Learning to Love Meditation ❤🧘 is about learning to love your highest Self. Connecting with your deeper Self in the present moment is an intimate and love-filled practice. As you experience this connection, you will learn to love the practice itself. That makes a daily personal yoga and meditation practice supportive, consistent, and even joyful.
