Science = the process of asking questions to improve our understanding
Propaganda = information of biased or misleading nature used to promote a political cause or point of view
**NOTE: propaganda is often disguised as “trust the science” which really means: “trust the information we’ve decided to show you that validates our actions, but don’t believe any other information you come across”
Very important to distinguish between these two and avoid mistaking propaganda for science
A really easy test: If you can’t question it, it’s not science….it’s propaganda
Every adult needs to share some of the responsibility here
1. Condemn propaganda and promote science
2. Help people understand how to distinguish the two
It’s our only way out of this mess
