It may have been gloomy outside today, but inside Guggenheimer it was all sunshine and rainbows. Seriously, everyone was beaming with joy and having the time of their lives. Thanks to Autumn with 1st Care at Home, Wendi with Gentiva, Barbara with Hospice of Virginia for hooking us up with amazing treats that made everyone's day.

August is National Sun Safety Month - be safe while having fun out in the sun!

Older adults are more susceptible to the effects of heat and sun for several reasons: their bodies may not regulate temperature as efficiently, they might have a diminished sense of thirst, and certain medications can increase sensitivity to heat or sun.
