At Light Counseling, our desire is to help you or someone you love find workable solutions to the pressing issues of life. Whether you are coming to work through wounds of the past or to deal with the current stressors in your life, our desire is to help you overcome these issues in a healthy and Godly way. Light Counseling provides Christ-centered, professional counseling in a caring environment. Our clinical staff of trained Christian counselors are state-licensed professionals, committed to offering confidential, clinically excellent, and biblically-based care and counseling.

Laura is a Licensed Professional Counselor with a passion for helping others find hope and healing. She's a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional -Level 2, trained in EMDR, and skilled in marriage & premarital counseling. Laura loves walking alongside clients on their journey toward growth. Outside the office, you’ll often find her at the beach, biking, or exploring the outdoors. Laura is located in our Forest office and offers in-person and telehealth sessions. Join leaders Arpenik Stepanyan (MA, Resident in Counseling) and Alyssa Penrod (LMFT) in a 12 week group designed to address body shame through a biblical worldview. Through the book Breaking Free from Body Shame by Jess Connolly and clinical facilitation you will have the space to process unhelpful messaging you’ve received about your body and gain insight into finding freedom from shame. This group is designed for women 17 years and up. If you are interested in joining, please speak to our front desk staff in person or over the phone. The reading material for this group
is not provided and participants are expected to purchase
on their own.
