We lost one of our oldest members yesterday.
LILLIAN FIKE OBITUARY
Lillian Faye Fike, daughter of Isaac Andrew and Ruby Inez Crismon Williams, was born October 19, 1925, near Plato, Missouri, and entered her Heavenly home, September 1, 2022, in Lebanon, Missouri at the age of ninety-six years.
On August 3, 1949, she was united in marriage with Kenneth Wilmer Fike.
Those preceding her in death include her parents; one sister, Leta Robinson; one brother, Carl Williams; brother-in-law, Robert Daniels; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Joseph and Dorothy Jordon.
Lillian is survived by her husband of seventy-three years, Ken; one sister, Carol Daniels; one nephew, Paul Daniels and his wife Pam; great-niece, Paige Thornhill and her husband Jeremy and their sons, Noah and Josiah; great-nephew, Parker Daniels and his children, Max, Emmylou and Wilder; other relatives and many friends.
At an early age, Lillian made a profession of her faith in Christ and was a member of Second Baptist Church at the time of her death.
She attended Plato School and Southwest Baptist College (now University) where she received an Associate Degree in Education. She was employed as an Elementary Teacher in Texas and Pulaski Counties for a few years before beginning her career of thirty years in Civil Service. Her last position was program analyst with the Directorate of Resource Management at Fort Leonard Wood.
In her spare time, she enjoyed reading, doing crossword puzzles and tending to her gardens, both flower and vegetable. Her yard was filled with many beautiful flowers. She and Ken enjoyed spending time with family and their home was always open to visitors.
Ken and Lillian loved to travel and had travelled in all fifty states, Canada, Mexico and many countries in Europe, Asia and Africa.
She will ne deeply missed and forever remembered by all who knew and loved her.
