It's always a great day to paint! We had a great time today painting with Steven from the Academy Center of the Arts through the Art in motion(AIM) program. Individuals look forward to explorering art using different medians and learning new techniques from one of the best artist in our region. We're grateful for this partnership!

"Oh, what fun!!!" During our spirit week festivities we hosted Christmas Karaoke, where individuals had the opportunity to display their vocal talents and dance moves. Rather it was a christmas classic, holiday blue grass or just cheering on their peeers everyone enjoyed this time together.

All you need to do is register for the program and select The Arc of Central Virginia as your cause, and then every time you shop and scan your Kroger Plus Card, we will receive 1% of that back as a donation from Kroger. It's easy and takes less than 5 minutes to register for the program.

We currently have 12 households registered but have a goal to get to 100!!!!! Take just a moment and do the following:

- Click Sign In/ Register
- Click on Edit Kroger Community Rewards information and input your Kroger Plus card number.
- Update or confirm your information
- Enter NPO number (VP605) or name of organization (The Arc of Central Virginia), select organization from list and click on confirm.

We had the privilege of hosting the Lynchburg Symphony Orchestra brass ensemble. This has quickly become one of our favorite holiday traditions!

The beautiful sounds that echo throughout the Great Room are magnificent. Watching everyone, including, DSPs, settle into the music and feel every single note is something that cannot be captured through words alone.

A huge thank you to each musician who took the time out of their busy schedules to bring joy to The Arc. And, an even bigger thank you to Ula Kauppi, LSO Executive Director, for coordinating such a special performance. 💛🧡

The Senate Special Committee on Aging is holding a hearing in a few weeks on the importance of community living and wants to hear your stories. Your experiences show Congress why programs like Medicaid HCBS are essential and how they make a real difference in people’s lives.

People with disabilities and older adults deserve to live with independence, dignity, and connection to their communities. HCBS help make this possible by helping people stay in their homes, attend school, work, and participate fully in their communities.

Disability service providers and direct care workers
Organizations that serve people with disabilities and older adults
