Today is Pregnancy and Infant Loss Remembrance Day. On this day, we honor and remember the children lost through any cause during pregnancy or infancy such as miscarriage, stillbirth, or other complications. Before you continue scrolling, please take a moment of silence to honor the lives of those children and pray for the broken hearts of their parents.

There are recovery resources available for both men and women who have known this pain. Empower Counseling in Forest VA offers specific individual counseling for reproductive loss and infertility grief and recovery. To contact them, please reach out to Emily Wingfield at ewingfield@empowercounseling.info or call their office at 434-219-5621.

We also want to take a moment to remember the children lost to abortion, and to pray for the parents who have experienced this loss. Here at BRPC, we want to provide both a space to honor these children and an opportunity for parents to give a name to their grief and move forward in healing and freedom through our post-abortive healing program, Unhindered.

We’re serving 50–60 families before the end of the year through our Pregnancy & Life Skills classes. Every class includes essential baby items and a baby shower to ensure our moms and dads who bravely chose life have what they need.

But we’re out of just about EVERYTHING…especially warm baby clothes for fall & winter babies. ❄️🧸

✨🍂Meet our amazing Fall 2025 interns, who have been doing incredible work for us this semester!

1)Alma is majoring in Public Health at Liberty University and is from Nairobi, Kenya. A fun fact about her is she’s ambidextrous! Alma loved hearing about the work being done at BRPC for the community, and she felt it would be a perfect fit to learn about prenatal care and mentorship, as well as offering a learning curve to fortify her theoretical knowledge on health promotion, as well as NGO work.

2)Lydia is a senior at Liberty University, studying Strategic Communications with a minor in English Literature. She loves her hometown of Des Moines, Iowa, but a fun fact about her is that she’s been backpacking in Alaska! She was drawn to intern at Blue Ridge Pregnancy Center because she cares deeply about life-affirming ministry and giving women the support they need to feel cared for, known, and loved. She is eager to use her communications skills to support the Center’s meaningful and inspiring mission.

3)Madden is a senior at Liberty, majoring in Family & Child Development, and graduating in December. A fun fact about her is that she is six months pregnant! Madden has a heart for the unborn and a desire to serve and walk alongside women and men facing unplanned pregnancies. She is thankful to have her internship at the BRPC because of their mission and the impact on the community! BPRC helps individuals see and understand God’s miraculous design of life and the value of babies in the womb! 

4)Karli is currently enrolled at Central Virginia Community College, where she is preparing for a career in sonography. She was drawn to BRPC because she strongly believes in its mission and views it as an invaluable learning opportunity. BRPC allows her to combine her passion for sonography with her faith, providing a meaningful way to serve others and make a positive impact on their lives.  

We are so grateful to each of these amazing women for being here and serving with us this fall!
