Last week, our Tidewater Region proudly partnered with Virginia DSS–Family First Funding, the Center for Evidence-Based Partnerships, and the Family Therapy Training Institute of Miami to host an impactful Brief Strategic Family Therapy (BSFT) training.

We were honored to welcome professionals from local DSS agencies, DJJ, schools, and CSBs to take a deep dive into evidence-based strategies that are shaping the future of care in Virginia. Participants explored how to leverage Family First Prevention Services Act funding and gained insight on the BSFT model.

We thank everyone who participated and continues to invest in meaningful, transformative work with families!

Please join us in congratulating Caitlin Helm on her 17-year anniversary!

Caitlin has done it all, from managing youth in our Therapeutic Day Treatment program, to working closely with children and families in Intensive In-Home services, and now serving as the Administrative Coordinator for our Southside Region, her commitment, knowledge, and calm leadership have made her an invaluable part of our team.

Not only does Caitlin help keep our Southside Region running smoothly, she also goes above and beyond by supporting other regions with quality assurance tasks and is always willing to lend a hand and share her expertise to help all teams succeed.

Our Southside team came together last week to support those impacted by the recent floods in Texas and North Carolina.

Staff collected donations and partnered with God's Pit Crew to help meet the urgent needs of flood victims. Together, they helped assemble and ship 500 Blessing Buckets filled with hygiene items and essential supplies to those who need it most.

We're proud to be part of a team that not only supports families locally but also steps up to help communities in crisis across the country.
