What a wonderful turnout at Westminster Canterbury’s Resident and Employee Health Fair! 🌿✨

Residents and team members came together to enjoy a day focused on wellness, connection, and self-care. Attendees took advantage of health screenings, hearing tests, seated massages, Sound Bath demos, and more—making it a truly engaging and restorative experience.

Thank you to everyone who participated and helped make the event such a success. We’re grateful for the energy, enthusiasm, and commitment to well-being throughout our WC community! 💙

We raised a glass to new beginnings on Westminster Canterbury's newly finished bridge, as part of our Refreshed Project! 🍷✨

With fresh updates and a beautiful new look, the bridge quickly turned into the perfect gathering spot for laughter, conversation, and connection. Residents enjoyed great company, music, and a wonderful atmosphere as Judy Schulz played some lovely tunes on the piano 🎹🎶

It was truly special to see our community come together to celebrate the transformation and enjoy the space in such a meaningful way 💛

April is Parkinson’s Awareness Month, and the YMCA Parkinson’s Awareness Concert was a meaningful way to come together in support of Parkinson's disease. 💙

Held on Saturday, April 11—World Parkinson’s Awareness Day—the event began with pre-concert activities, followed by a special performance centered on awareness and community. 🎶

Westminster Canterbury residents were in attendance, joining others in support of this important cause.

We’ve really enjoyed the start of fellow Westminster Canterbury resident David Hartman’s aviation film series ✈️

We’ve loved reliving highlights from “I Flew” Parts 1 & 2—from early flight training and Navy carrier landings to unforgettable moments in the air, including incredible footage of challenging approaches, mid-air encounters, and a beautiful final landing marking the end of a 40-year career.

Residents enjoyed an engaging presentation on documenting and restoring historic Virginia homes, including a fascinating look at the Poplar Forest Restoration Field School and efforts to preserve local architecture. 🏡✨

🎶What an unforgettable experience! 🎶

Our residents had a wonderful time attending “250 Years of Heroes” presented by the Lynchburg Pops Community Band at the Academy Center of the Arts in Historic Downtown Lynchburg! 🎺✨

From powerful melodies to patriotic favorites, the performance beautifully celebrated our nation’s 250th Anniversary and honored the heroes who have shaped our history. ❤️🤍💙

It was a joy to share this special outing filled with music, memories, and community spirit. Thank you to the Lynchburg Pops Community Band for such an inspiring performance! 👏🎼

🌼✨ A Wonderful Daffodil Tour! ✨🌼

Thank you to everyone who joined fellow Westminster Canterbury resident Janet Hickman for a beautiful walk among the daffodils! 💛🌿 From the Nature Trail to garden plots across campus, the blooms were a perfect sign of spring. ☀️🌷

Janet, a past president of the American Daffodil Society and a medal recipient shared great insights, and we loved seeing the raised beds near 106 Westminster Way—featuring over 1,000 labeled varieties! 🌼🌼🐝
