🌴 Out of Office: March 5–12 🌴

From March 5–12, I’ll be out of the country with very limited service. I’m intentionally taking a much needed pause to rest and reset before wedding season begins next month (and I cannot wait for all that’s ahead 🤍).

If you have something truly urgent, I will do my best to respond when I’m able. All other inquiries, emails, and messages will be answered beginning March 13th in the order they were received.

One of the hardest parts of being a wedding officiant? Falling in love with a couple’s story… feeling that spark… getting excited about standing with them on one of the most important days of their lives… and then realizing their date is already booked with another amazing couple.

It’s such a strange mix of emotions. So grateful that couples connect with me. So honored they see me as part of their day. And yet, wishing I could somehow clone myself to be in two places at once.

If I’ve ever had to tell you I’m unavailable, please know it never comes lightly. I truly mean it when I say I was excited about you.

If I could split into five Vanessas, I would in a heartbeat. Wedding dates are precious. And so are the couples who choose me. 🤍

Bridal expos are fun… but they are also important. When couples stop by my table, I am not just talking dates and pricing. I am helping them understand what actually makes a ceremony unforgettable.

✨ The ceremony sets the tone for the entire wedding.
✨ It is the only part where every single guest is fully present.
✨ And it deserves more than a script pulled off the internet.

Your officiant should guide you, calm you, organize you, and help you create a moment that feels like you.

Well… this is a new one. I’m officially ordained in Dudeism.

When my April groom shared that he practices Dudeism and asked if I would consider being ordained to fully honor his beliefs, I didn’t hesitate.

Dudeism is a laid back philosophy inspired by The Big Lebowski, centered on simplicity, peace, mindfulness, and staying calm in a chaotic world. Think less stress, more abiding.

Marriage needs that energy.

I love that my job allows me to step into different traditions and meet my couples exactly where they are. Always honored. Always all in. 🙌🏽
