Hello all of you beautiful souls on this lovely Friday evening.

I wanted to take a moment to provide some long awaited updates with Hidden Lotus. There will be more details to come in the future as things progress but I feel that things are starting to gain some momentum right now so I can share some information.

While I’m not currently taking clients through Hidden Lotus, I’m aiming for this to be a possibility early next year, 2026.

Some things currently in the works to make this possible are related to credentialing with insurance so that insurance can be utilized for services.

A website for Hidden Lotus is currently in the works and while this is my professional page, there will also be a professional instagram page in the future as well.

As things progress in laying the initial foundation with Hidden Lotus I will be providing updates as well as giving more information related to the larger goal of my practice 🙂

Thank you so much for your support and appreciation, it really keeps me going!

🚨 New Group Alert! 🚨
We’re excited to launch Functioning Beyond the Dysfunction, a biweekly process group for adults 18+ starting August 11, 2025 at 6PM!

Led by Dr. Clarence McCray II & Greer Ruddock, this group offers a supportive space to explore the impact of growing up with parents affected by addiction. This group is open to those who have grown up with parents who dealt with or are dealing with addiction and does not discriminate against anyone interested in participating whether they have never used a substance before (or experienced some form of addiction such as gambling, shopping, etc.) or if they have at some point in time.
This is a space to process, grieve, and begin healing together. We’ll talk about how those childhood dynamics still show up in adulthood, and how to move forward with intention and hope.
📞 To join, call or text us at (757) 774-6887. Please have your DOB, insurance info, and email ready. Self-pay options are available.

Let’s do the work together!

Happy Friday y’all ☀️

I’m sharing my final continuing education course before my license renewal next month and wanted to thank you all for following along and possibly seeing some topics I’ve completed that you may have found interesting 🙂

✅ Trauma Informed Interventions: A Systematic Review

Have a wonderful day, a great weekend, and remember those who are gone and remembered/celebrated this Memorial Day weekend 🦋

Hello and good Monday morning everyone 🌞

To kick off this morning I’ve completed another continuing education course to share with you all. Something I feel that’s important to pay attention to in counseling is how big of a deal culture is. This is not just for a better sense of understanding, but to provide better care that can promote healing and not harm. One example I like to consider is how mental health diagnoses are not viewed the same everywhere. In many cultures those who are known as healers, visionaries, and many other titles have gifts that are embraced within their culture but for other cultures it may not seem “normal” and deemed to be some form of mental illness. Just because cultural practices may be different, that doesn’t mean that they are bad or wrong. It just means that there is more to learn and embrace with an open mind 🦋

✅ Native Spirit: Development of a Culturally Grounded After School Program to Promote Well Being Among American Indian Adolescents

Have a wonderful Monday and a great start to your week!

Hello and good morning on this rainy Tuesday 🌧️

Rainy days can lead us to stay indoors until the sun ☀️ comes back out and sometimes we may wonder what to do with our time. Some of us clean, read, do artsy things, watch shows/movies, and so on. This morning, I completed another continuing education course and thought it would be nice to share (and recommend) that if you can, play some video games today because there are plenty out there that are GOOD for your mental health 😊

✅ Gaming My Way to Recovery: A Systematic Scoping Review of Digital Game Interventions for Young People's Mental Health Treatment and Promotion

Happy Tuesday and happy gaming 🙂
