Protect yourself, your family, and your community by turning in your unused or expired prescription medication and other drugs for safe disposal on Saturday, April 25th, from 10 AM - 2 PM! 💊

Horizon and local law enforcement will be present at nine locations throughout Central Virginia for residents to dispose of expired, unwanted, or unused medications and provide free resources to safeguard our community. Rapid REVIVE Trainings will also be offered at each location for individuals interested in receiving FREE Narcan and becoming trained in opioid overdose emergency response.

V**e pens and other e-cigarette devices with batteries removed will also be collected.

💙 Today, we remember Ryan White.

On April 8, 1990, we lost a young man whose courage and advocacy changed the world.

Ryan’s story holds deep meaning for the bleeding disorders community. Living with hemophilia and contracting HIV from a contaminated blood product, he faced stigma with extraordinary strength—and helped transform public understanding, blood safety, and patient protections we rely on today.

His legacy reminds us that one voice can create change.

This was our second year of participating in “ The Coldest Night of the Year” walk for Miriam’s House and their effort to help support those experiencing homelessness in our community. This year’s event raised over $65,000. Our office was in the Top 6 for fundraising in Lynchburg. Can’t wait for next year!
