We had the pleasure of hosting Judah the other day as he shadowed Dr. Bates for the afternoon. Judah is a former patient so he knows our practice well, but we’re sure that getting to see it from Dr. Bates perspective was a bit unique! Judah has a bright future ahead!

Dr. Bates loves to mentor and teach others and is always honored when previous patients ask to come spend a day with him! 😎

BFO SERVE DAY!

Our team had a great time serving at yesterday morning!! It’s always such a nice break from the busyness of our normal schedule to spend a morning serving the community. This is our third year serving at Park View! One of our commitments at Bates Family Orthodontics is radical generosity towards our community and our serve days (Dr. Bates blocks our schedule twice a year for this!) are one of many ways we try to live that out!

🎉 TRANSFORMATION TUESDAY! 🎉

Congratulations to Wendy on completing a gorgeous smile transformation!

Wendy started out with a narrow and severely crowded lower arch, palatally inclined upper posterior teeth, and a mild deep bite. She wanted to align her teeth and improve her smile esthetics.

Dr. Bates used Invisalign to design Wendy’s new smile in just over 20 months. No extractions, just well controlled aligner mechanics and conservative recontouring of some teeth here and there to gain space while also preserving periodontal health. We love it!

Happy birthday, Esther! 🎂

We celebrated the birthday of our wonderful orthodontic assistant Esther yesterday. Esther has been with our team for a couple months now and has quickly assimilated into our team culture. She’s compassionate, teachable, hard working, and great at building relationships with our patients. We are so grateful to have her on our team!!

✨ TRANSFORMATION THURSDAY!! ✨

Congratulations to Rome on completing her smile transformation!! She did an exceptional job and we are so proud of her.

Rome started out with a missing maxillary left lateral incisor, a small maxillary right lateral incisor, narrow and crowded arches, a deep bite, partial anterior crossbite, and a Class II malocclusion. Dr. Bates used a combination of braces and Invisalign to design her new smile and set her up for her restorative dentist (shout out to Dr. Bo Sorenson) to restore her missing left lateral incisor with a Maryland bridge and build up her right lateral incisor with composite. We spent a little extra time honing on some minor details but she was still able to complete her treatment in 22 months. Check out her beautiful new smile!!

Seth started out with a narrow upper arch, maxillary anterior crowding, a right posterior crossbite, and edge-to-edge anterior occlusion. He recognized that his bite was putting him at risk of excessive tooth wear and future TMD issues and wanted to do something about it (kudos to him!).
