Tonight I pushed myself to run 10 miles for the very first time in preparation for next week’s 10 miler. I will not lie, halfway through I hit a wall and even walked a couple of laps. In that moment all I could think was, are you really going to quit next week and let your friends and family down?
That thought lit the fire I needed to finish strong. I ran out the rest of the miles and proved to myself that sometimes the biggest wins come when you push through doubt.
I am not a runner, and I have no expectations for this race other than to show what is possible when you set your mind to something. If I can take on 10 miles, what else is possible?
